Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Great pics @Barnfred 55 . Hope your neighbours are recovered from their all you can drink extravaganza. Looks like you are having a fun time. I'm so glad.

@Terrarian I saw those clips you posted. So sad. I love the Foos. Seen them twice. I also follow Brian May on Instagram, he played at the concert too and appears to be good friends with Taylor Hawkins.

@carlos21 Hope you have had a good day.

I see Liz Truss got in. Oh joy. And that's about all I'm saying.
It's really hot and humid here. I'm sure there is a thunderstorm brewing. The roast dinner was a huge success but I nearly melted cooking it!

I won the Euromillions on Friday. A whole £2.30 which I re- invested in a line on Saturday and won...a lucky dip. Not quite what I was looking for. ?

I dont know why I do this to myself but I read Garths team of the week every week on the BBC website despite thinking he's a monumental tit who hates Everton. He had Pickford and Coady in this week. Really grudging praise for Pickford and a sly dig at Lampard saying whether Van Dijyk's tackle was a red or not was a matter for the ref.

Enjoy your evening. Bake off starts in a week or so. I am genuinely excited!

Hi All!

We are on day 5 of an Extreme Heat Warning (temps over 110F (43C)! Only 2 more days to go lol We normally get heat like this in July and August so that is why there is a warning right now.

Can one of you send your rain this way? We NEED it!! :)

I've very happy with how our team is looking. We have 3+ players now who are showing some snide as well as leadership abilities on the pitch!! Been much needed in my opinion. I'll admit to getting a little teary-eyed seeing Gana back on the pitch with the huge applause he received, happy about him returning to us.

Have a good evening!

Wow seven days of temps over 43, we only had one day of 40 degrees and that nearly finished me off! Can’t help with the rainfall, although we’ve had a bit we are still really short here but from his last post it sounds as though @roydo may be able to help. lol

Hey VTG , myself and Mrs J are thinking about holidays in January. Although we have travelled widely through Asia and central America we've never actually been to the States and thought about a trip to Hawai breaking the journey in Las Vegas and San Francisco on each leg .

What's the weather like in January and is it a good time to visit ? ( not too crowded etc ) Couldn't stick your current temperatues !

I’ve just been reading this article about San Francisco

I haven't met your friends yet Anj but I'm on the lookout.

Just having a nightcap on my balcony. In fact I'm enjoying it so much just poured myself another G&T. Met a scouse couple at dinner tonight which was nice (well from Bromborough anyway). He was a red but very dignified which is unusual. His old mum is a blue though.

Just sitting here taking in another fantastic moonscape which I may post.

Have really enjoyed my holiday so far. Neighbours have been great in fairness but these moments of reflection on my own I've enjoyed the most.

At the end of the day I just miss her and that will never ever change. I realise that. But you can learn to cope and I think I'm doing that. Cal always lved a good moonscape.

Hi Jazzy,

January is a good time to visit! We have an 8k foot mountain if you like skiing!! It's about 30 minutes from the strip. The weather can be a little cool (for us lol) but you and Mrs J would probably be fine. Feel free to ask me any Vegas questions. I've been here over a decade.

As for San Francisco, depending on what you want to see there (Golden gate Bridge etc), I'd go to somewhere like San Diego instead, but I get the allure of San Fran.

I've been to Oahu once, so have some info on that island if needed, too.

It sounds like a fun trip!

I think I would die in those temperatures unless I had a swimming pool close by, endless cold drinks and no work to do. I experienced 1 day of 39C while I was watching a cricket match and nearly died.
I've been to Vegas for a day. We were staying in LA - had been to the Breeders Cup race meeting at Santa Anita. We decided to drive to Vegas because we would never be as close as we were. Loved all the sights but have yo say M & M world was my favourite ? So many flavours!! I took so many home with me that I was seriously concerned that an X Ray of my suitcase revealing hundreds of small round items would have me hauled in as a potential drug smuggler.

Warmed my heart reading that Fred ,you are doing so well but you can still shed a tear when needed .Never fancied a cruise but you are certainly showing the positive side of it , have the neigbours shown their faces for breakfast yet ?
