Anecdote time, found a tick under my arm after walking through bushland 20 odd years ago and it had seemingly drank a good 2 pints of my blood such was the size of the dirty parasite. Took myself to the hosptal as it was too big for me to attempt to rip out. Left a big crater in my armpit too which is still obviously there.

Cool story, I'll see myself out.

Ticks are terrible, wretched things.
My daughter’s friend (six years old) was just diagnosed with alpha-gal syndrome last month. It’s transmitted via tick bite and can cause severe allergies to red meat.

Anyway, back on topic.
