Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

I'd have thought where do I know you from as she does have a very scouse face. But as soon as she spoke I'd have got it. ;)

She's a very good singer to. Seen her on Sport Relief or similar.
Oh and the 2nd best thing about the day was that Everton beat the RS 2-1 in the kids wearing football shirts game - actually 3-1 if you include one of the dads .

I'm waiting for strike 3 of bad luck, it's me. 9months without a washing machine, a year without a cooker, luckily got a freezer straight away as was still working and doing overtime.

I Can't not have a fridge though, feck knows how I will get one, I got a grant for my washing machine off retail trust but I don't qualify anymore out of work too long. I'm a bit quiet because i feel all i do is moan and be negative, I don't like being like that so that's why I'm not as active. I'll be reet soon enough with any luck.
Sorry to hear things haven’t been going great for you. No need to apologise for having rant and moan that’s what we’re here for. Mr G. who worked for a large domestic appliance manufacturer says it sounds though the thermostat has gone in your fridge, it may be worth ringing to enquire about the cost of a repair.

She may have done. I don't normally watch stuff like that tbh. I can imagine her doing somebody like Lulu but that's probably just because I'm used to seeing her in 60s gear. ;)
What a genius you are Fred .......

From her Wiki page ......

In 2004, however, she won a Christmas edition of the ITV show Stars in Their Eyes, performing as Brenda Lee and singing "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree". She previously appeared in the show as Lisa Stansfield. She has also sung a number of times on Heartbeat, her character Gina even won a talent contest in an episode in series 2, with her version of the Lulu hit "Shout".

Not sure I can take too much credit for that Jazz. (Or even for all that Jazz lol)

We used to watch Heartbeat back in the day and I probably saw that episode and it's stuck in my mind. It's a strange thing the human brain.

I have a fridge you can have mate. Will even arrange delivery. Well, its my elderly Mum, who is down sizing and has no need for it in her new place. But it will be a few weeks, at least, till she actually moves. Let me know anyrate.

edit. Its an under the counter size, with a small freezer section.

Ha ha. Where did you dig that up from H? lol lol

Reminds me that it's the annual Beatles Festival at the Adelphi next Sunday. It's a must see for any Beatles fan that hasn't been before and goes on all day. They have presentations, memorabilia sales and about 4 stages dotted around the hotel that show Beatles tribute bands from around the world. There will probably be about 40 different bands on. Some are quite humorous but others are really really good. Well worth a visit @Jazzy if you have nothing else planned. I've been to about 6 of them and not been disappointed once.

Still think its fab mate . Hats off to you ( and your mum !)

Well, like I said, Mum is down sizing after Dad died earlier in the year, from a large 4 bed detatched family home to a fantastic marina apartment. Down sizing isnt just a smaller house/flat. Its also that hardly any furniture would fit in ! And her new kitchen has a built in fridge/freezer anyrate.

She all ready given a large BBQ and family sized oak dining table to a young lad who has done their cars for ever , cos he has recently bought a new house with his fiance. She loves the thought of helping other folk out if she can.

So leaving the girly new stuff to my sister and Mum, but I will be the one doing the grunt work, white goods, garden tools, beds, wardrobes etc etc.
