Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

I read about your chicken, sweet potato and potato ordeal earlier. And a delicious alternative sprung to mind.

Buy some chicken thighs. Sainsburys do 6 in a packet for about £2.50. Then one sweet potato, several small spuds, and a carrot/parsnip.

Basically, peel and chop the veg into bite sized pieces, lob them and 2 thighs into the oven, takes about 40 to 50 minutes to cook. For some luxury, add a few chunks of chorizo sausage, oregano, and ideally, olive oil. But any oil will do.

Finally, before cooking, squeeze half a lemon over the lot.

Olive oil is expensive, but lasts forever, same with a pot of oregano. So when you decide to do it again, with another 2 thighs, (defrosted, obvs), it will cost about 40p.

Try this. Just as easy, way less gas/leccy
I might try this. I’m a terrible cook but it sounds quite easy. What temperature do you cook it all at?

Coming to the end of what should have been a productive 4 day weekend. I was planning to work on some new music after having a fair bit of success recently. (By my standards anyway)

It's been far to hot to concentrate though. I live on the top floor, so my place is like a microwave in this heat and running the PC when producing is like having a fan heater on top of it ?

So spent the days off quietly poaching and covering myself in iced towels lol

I did manage an unplanned DJ set out of pure boredom tonight though (See The Electronic Music Thread)

Looks like it will be cooling off this week though, so I'll try again weds/thurs when I'm next off!
I hope today has been a more cooler day and night for you.

Looking forward to checking out your DJ set out.

As the percentages can be 50% out at times , I am going with one great grand parent being part japanese but vietnamese ,and the same with your indigenous bit.
I have gone as back as I can to trace my ancestors and we can’t find anyone that were Vietnamese or Japanese so it seems this are very old ancestors. I did know I had indigenous blood from my mum, one of her great great grandfather’s was a tribe leader whose son married a lady from Spain, thus the Spanish genes come from her.

SSN saying 8 weeks for Yerry. Longer than I hoped but at least this season our defence isn't a leaky gutter without him.

I know 90% of fans can't see beyond his injury record and reported salary, but he's such a fantastic character I can't help but love him.
Ffs 8 weeks seem so long but nothing we can do with Mina at the moment except for getting him fit so he can help us. I love him too, I only wish he wasn’t made of glass because he is an amazing human being and team leader.

We might love him and yes he's a character but at the risk or incurring the ire of yourself and Sassy he is of little use to us with his injury record and reported salary.

We should have sold him when we could , now no chance.

We would be mad to try to extend his contract.

Along with Gomes , Gbamin he turns out to be a poor signing and a waste of money.

There is no room for sentiment in elite sport.
No ire from me. I love him but given his injury record and salary i agree that it seems like a bad business for us to renew his contract. And btw, he hasn’t performed for Colombia for a while either so his involvement with the national team has nothing to do with his recent injury record. Mina’s body just seems to have had enough of football.

Morning everyone. I'm feeling a bit better now, had a rough few weeks of losing the plot but seem to be back to normal(well my normal lol ) thanks for asking those who did.

I have my health check next monday and then see the Dr on the 5th to start the meds, after that I may be a bit quiet for a while as I have a feeling these meds are going to zonk me out.

I've been a busy shopper got a loan and bought a better vacuum cleaner, i got a Shark @jazzy it's belting. I treat myself to a new kettle and toaster as well and a new air fryer, then had enough to treat myself to a couple of pair of trainers.

I have had a few cooking disasters as well, this is why I don't cook. I tried to make a roast chicken dinner with sweet potatoes and roast potatoes, not sure why but I made a right balls up of the mash which was a shame as I had fallen asleep boiling my normal potatoes and the pan boiled dry and stuck them to the bottom, pan now has black bottom in places lol

Then again yesterday tried to make sweet potato mash and made a balls up of that as well ffs. So I have learned I cannot make sweet potato mash lol

Anyway gang hope you're all good and well. I'm not overly concerned about 2 defeats although we need to stop that soon, I like Lampard and hope he is a success, hard with no strikers though and a injury plagued squad. Sorted the defence out but nothing else lol hopefully Onana settles in quick and is actually good.
I’m very happy you are posting again, T. And congratulations on getting a loan to purchase some things that seem like will serve you well. Hopefully the meds will help you and even if you are quiet, remember we are here for you if you need us ?

Anyway, I've had my fill of the Everton thread for a while. Just kicked over a hornets nest regarding Mina (you're not alone in your thinking Jazz) and I've lost the will to live. The negativity in there does my head in. :(
That’s why I don’t visit his thread much anymore, nor Frank’s or other players. The negativity there is over the top, no the kind of energy I want to put out into the Universe.

Sounds yummy and easy.

Sake, might have posted this song B4, but it was one me and Nik loved, and was the one she was carried into her the church with. Was on the radio as I was clearing up. Kinda floored me a bit. Loads will know. Y'know.

It totally summed up Nikki and I. And she had very pretty eyes. Miss them.
Great song that Roydo, the beautiful South were such a good band, very popular also.
