This is our Blueberry :-View attachment 177630
Those look like some healthy blueberries. The bushes we found yesterday are super old, we know because we have been hiking in the same area for almost two decades and they seem to be producing less blueberries and now the ones it does are tiny so the leaves look huge but the reality is that the berries are tiny.

Morning all, just been doing the ironing before it gets too hot. Have promised grandkids nos. 3 and 4 I will take them to the fun day in our local park this afternoon. Temperature of 34 forecast - what was I thinking, I must be crackers . There was due to be a fun dog show as well but the organisers have taken the sensible decision and cancelled it. Don’t know which will be worse this afternoon the heat or the girls’ assault on my finances! Have a good day all.?
Good to know someone has an ironing habit besides me. Growing up in Colombia our cleaning lady even ironed our bed sheets and cotton panties, but then we moved here to the US where people don’t care about ironing at all and you are always seeing people with wrinkle clothes, I just can’t do it. Americans can be quite sloppy that’s an accurate statement.

Hmmmm, tbh I’m trying to decide which one would be a worse assault of the two and can’t decide lol either way, good luck!

Spotted this thread and like it, been spending time on the Everton forum and the place is full of know-all connoisseurs of the game, it's good to finally find a sane thread with much more balanced people on it. The thread for me from now on.
If you have not read the beginning of this thread I would recommend you do so. Karl was our mate but unfortunately he left us in December. However, he gave us this space on GOT to have a friendly thread to support each other, a sort of virtual coffee/tea house. Many of us are regulars, but we also have lots of friends that come and visit just at times. So feel free to become a regular, or stop and visit us when the Everton forum becomes too overwhelming and you need a breather from all the negativity spewed there. Either way, welcome to Karl’s thread!

Been going for about 20 years this. Its truly amazeballs when you see dozens of them drifting across the city.

Anyone know if these go on anywhere else?
Cool. In the US there are various cities that have such events but I have never witness one. Here in Asheville you can see a few of them together but never as many as those in Bristol.

The white one might be a puffball but definitely don't eat it unless you know for sure ,there are more ways to identify ,smell is a very important one and the colour of any juice is too .View attachment 177614
Those look so pretty. Definitely not, I’m too scared of getting poison by eating the wrong mushroom so taking a pic is a far as I go.

good afternoon all. Did overtime this morning and later I'm going to cut the grass. It is far too long and still very green. I don't think we've been as scorched as further south in the UK. My Dad, bless him, has decided there is absolutely no need for me to go back to Liverpool tomorrow. He's fine, there's no need. To be honest he is OK but my brother and nephews are all away so there is no immediate support for him should he need any. I did point this out to him and he said I can always ring you. What can you do? Stubborn as a mule. So I'll be staying in the north east this week.

I'm still not too disappointed with our start to the season. I'm sure it will click very soon. There are good things starting to happen. What's happened to Gueye? is that not happening any more? I hope Coady is OK - the man who has only missed two games in the last hundred years or so, gets an injury first time he turns out for us. truly an Everton that moment!

Hope you have a good day @Gwladysover and it isn't too financially ruinous.

Once I've cut the grass I'm going to sit outside and admire my handiwork with a glass of white zinfandel. Have a lovely Sunday folks x

Good morning/afternoon lovely friends. Having a lazy morning but about to get my engine ready as I need to go grocery shopping and later come back and do some cleaning around the house as invited my mum, her hubby and my brother for a barbie (I’m using Fred’s vocabulary) I also need to organize our front deck. For years we only used it for Sofia to play as she had a huge trampoline there to jump that really hasn’t been used very often, so we decided to give it away and we purchased some outside furniture that we are going to put there later today with the hope we have an extra outside area where to hangout and entertain visitors. I’ll post pics once I’m done with it.

I hope everyone has a beautiful Sunday! Xxx

Your dad sounds a bit like mine, so independent and stubborn. How is everything going with his air fryer? Is he liking it?

I agree with you regarding Everton, even after these two loses I’m still feeling hopeful we can improve and that good things will begin happening as soon as we also get a striker that can score the chances we are creating. Like Jazzy said, at least at the moment we are not worse than Man U lol

Be careful with grass cutting Anj.

I've left mine for the last 2 weeks. When it's short it's much more likely to get scorched in this weather.

Mine needs doing too but I'm resisting the temptation.

Also too hot for grass cutting , just have a bottle of vino , you deserve it!

He loves the airfryer. He's been experimenting to find the optimum size of chips to cook in it! Fries are too skinny he reckons but don't want them too chunky either.

That’s great to hear. I’m sure the experimenting gives him something fun to do with delicious results afterwards, so it is a win win type of situation. Plus a safe one. Before Sofia was born and my dad was staying with us, he almost burned our apartment down with hot oil on the stove. The funny part is that the whole incident happened and the hubby and I didn’t even notice as we were to hangover that day and spent it being lazy in our bedroom. Wasn’t until the next day that I was walking towards the kitchen and began noticing the walls on the hall looking quite gray and then once I got to the kitchen the walls had turned almost black because of the smoke. It was then when my dad finally mentioned what had happened ?

Thanks, only read the last pages or so, sorry to hear the sad news about Karl but I will certainly go back and have a read. As you say it's nice to visit a thread without the negativity, makes a refreshing change from all the doom and gloom on the site. Thanks again for the welcome and I hope I can post things here that can brighten people's days.

Welcome to the thread mate , I'm sure you will find us a friendly bunch .

Just a word of warning though , look out for @Barnfred 55 , he can be a bit of a bounder.

You are very welcome! It is very sad as he was too young for such fate, and we miss him but his legacy here at GOT continues through this thread. My suggestion is to at least read his first post and reasoning to begin this thread, I think is worth it. And while we try to keep a positive attitude here that’s not to say that’s all we want. We are all humans and life is not always happiness so we also come here to rant, or express sadness that we may be encountering, or just to get some feedback so don’t feel as all you can post is to brighten our day, while that’s welcoming, the main attitude on this thread is post about anything you wish just be respectful with one another.
