Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

If only. Problem is the signs for footpaths often have overgrown shrubbery hiding them. Then there's the farm animals to contend with so you often go off piste. Plus, as you know mate, every downhill is preceded by an uphill. I have a decent sense of direction but still get lost.

Made the decision that I am sure @Barnfred 55 faced last year after Cal passed, to stay living in Nik and mine cottage. I juggled all sorts in the months after Nikki left us, even toyed with moving back to Liverpool. But in a moment of clarity, just couldnt face the thought of locking the door for the last time.

And since then, really looking forward to actually doing all the plans we had nattered about the place. Nowt major, garden/meadow notwithstanding, and deffo not in some shrine way. Just feels right.

100% mate. Just sitting in the garden now and was thinking I'd made the right decision to continue living down here, at least for another year or two. I miss family and friends, but I think at the end of the day I'd miss Cornwall more.

We had a dream to come and live down here and it came true. I'd feel a fraud if I didn't at least give it a go. Plus I love it down here . Obviously I'd love it infinitely more if Cal was here too but she wouldn't be with me either if I moved back to Liverpool.

Kinda how I thought it through mate. Feel a bit daft it took me so long to work it out.

We bought this place 20 plus years ago. We both said we wouldnt ever sell it, so just cos Nikki isnt here, physically, why on earth do I want some apartment on a marina?

Foreboding skies ahead of the new season.

Not long after my old man passed last year I was back in Ireland, my old dear went to family in Meath to get away from it a bit and took a poor turn herself and spent a week in hospital across the border so obviously I legged it over there.

With views like this and fantastic people I'm a fool for not doing it more often.

Right outside my Dad's cousins house.

I originally sent this photo to @Sassy Colombian who consistently PM'd me checking on me and helped a huge amount, more than she'll ever know.
