He was a very fit fella ! So don’t think he’s be that bad yet ! Distin was still very quick at his age and he looked after himself ! Our scouts don’t get many unknowns !

I hate the signing but I guess I can see the reasons behind it, considering how cash strapped we are and how important it is that we stay up. We can’t really fail in the transfer market on unknown quantities right now.

Ideally if we could bring him in on the cheap, and then sign a riskier unknown young midfielder as well to work behind him/with him.

Then keep trying to get either Gallacher or MGW even if it means we have to go over a bit on what we want, Pick up Knight from Derby (allow us to try shift out Davies).

Wages would probably balance out with the 4 in 3 out too.

Midfield options including Gueye, Gilmour, Gallacher/MGW, Iwobi, Knight, Dacoure, Allan would be massively improved.

I never really noted him for pace more his positional sense was always in the right place to nick the ball

It’s easy enough saying get rid of these players but as we’ve found out we can’t get rid of the deadwood that easily
