Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Good morning all. The good news is that I no longer feel like I am about to kick the bucket! My legs still ache but no other issues. @Armaghtoffee have a lovely holiday. Can't beat the seaside! Incidentally the very best beach I have ever been on was Curracloe Beach in Wexford. Just beautiful.
No plans for today. Currently doing overtime. It's raining and has been all morning- possibly all night judging by the state of the cat when she came in. A real soggy moggy. I need to visit Cookie at some point today. Also have to phone my brother. He's going on holiday on 7th August so I'll probably be over in Liverpool for some of the time while he's away. My Dad doesn't really need care as such but if he's coming in after a dialysis session - which is a long day for him, the last thing he needs is to have to start cooking his tea. I know he'll just have a sandwich if he's on his own whereas if someone cooks, he eats really well.

I'm concerned about @Methuselah and unfortunately fearing the worst about Mrs M. I was trying to remember the other Everton forum he said he went on to have a look if he had posted on there but I can't remember.

Enjoy your day everyone. Back to work for me until 12!

yes I've been worried about @Methuselah for some time. Here I don't think no news is good news sadly.

just been looking at the weather forecast and Tuesday is looking particularly wet here and I fear @Armaghtoffee will get a very wet pair of speedos and bucket and spade as the front hits the east coast of Ireland before crossing the Irish Sea to us here - it might even reach @Gwladysover , fingers crossed.

Don't work too hard Anj , midday finish , good choice the sport starts then.

Good luck to your dad.

Morning all, had some very welcome rain overnight, not much, the water butt is about a quarter full, but it’s a start. Taking grandkids 3 and 4 to Lincoln on the train Tuesday so if you could just hold on to the rain until the evening @jazzy, I’d be grateful. I know some people are never satisfied. lol The youngest is 5 and never been on a train, sister only once so are very excited. They also plead to be taken out on the bus, complete opposite from my childhood. Days out were always taken on the train, we had no car and got free passes as Dad was a fireman. Never lost the thrill of a train trip though. Going to son’s this afternoon to pick up tickets, he works on the railway so sorted them out for us. We‘ll also get to fuss the newest member of their family “Minnie”.
@anjelikaferrett I think @Methuselah mentioned the other site when he posted a pic of him and friend for Sassy, it will be quite a few pages back. Have a good day all.?

Indeed jazzy but to be positive about it, it will be lovely to curl up with a book, glass of red and hear the waves crashing just over the sand dune.

I know that beach well Anj, it’s stunning. My beach of choice for the next week is Seapoint/Baltray.

Don’t forget to say Hello to Cookie from us all.
