The probable first eleven were split over the two teams so we didn’t have our first team out at any point the game against Arsenals first team & our first game v their 3rd so too soon to panic.

Also clear from the manager’s comments that he wants a holding midfielder which in turn should mean 3 in the middle. Just need to make sure we get one & they are decent & stay fit. Not too much to ask !

Just seen brief highlights Pickford fluffs a corner first goal - 2nd goal an other defensive cock up plus most worrying we never created much .....doh

First half defense all over the show, midfield looked a man light, second half different team lots of kids who did ok, bit better .
tried to play from the back especially in the first half we were awful at it.

I'm envious of you unfortunately I opted to watch the game sober so I vividly recall the abundant mediocrity on display. Poor performance, particularly in the first half, couldn't keep hold of the ball so was always on the back foot. We were extremely poor at times playing out from the back. And when we did get the ball on the break didn't do enough with it. There is a fair bit of work to do before the start of the season. It looked like we were playing 3-4-2-1 and felt we were actually a man short in the middle of the park. Dele Alli in particular and Gray didn't get back quickly enough at times and we were overrun. Holgate and Godfrey looked shaky at times.

The fume is back in full force….why are they surprised, this team stayed by skin of our teeth…they are not guna turn into prime barca after 3 weeks break, and no new players, and our best one going.

I think many many fans need a dose of realism. We will be in the bottom 3rd of the league as we stand, i would take 10th-12th right now.

I doubt we're getting anywhere close to top-half tbh. Get to 40 points as quick as we can and go from there really.

It was bad. Couldn’t complete a pass forward. Couldn’t hold possession.

Honestly looked better with the subs, but not much.

Gordon was bright but tried to do too much himself.

Don't know why anyone expected different. Same squad as last year minus our best attacker. Crowd got us over the line last season, not the players. No way will the crowd continue to stick with these chancers if we start terribly.
