Cause spending £17m on a young attacker from the Championship is less risky than spending it on a player who did well in the PL for a year and has played in the CL, Ligue 1 etc?

Also might be due to downpayments etc. If Bobble was to be believed about a month back, he said the initial offer we put in for KLP was very low down payment wise. Maybe Burnley are in a position where they need to accept a low fee up front and Hull weren't?

Pretty sure you haven't only just started watching footie this month if you think players who have a single freak season in the PL can't be risky.

I've actually watched a lot of Cornet in the past and liked him for a while. Always baffled me a bit that he was punted to LWB at Lyon and surprised that Burnley got him too. He's a good player.

I haven't seen enough of KLP to fully judge. I think he looks a bit wirey though in a similar way to Gordon and Gray to an extent, so we've got that type of player, whereas Cornet has that versatility and a bit more about him.
