Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Update on the bullying issue. Harry was moved to another form and classmates instructed to be kind, talk to him etc. of course they ignored him. The teacher forgot to give him his new timetable so he didn’t know which lessons he had or where they were. Insults continued. The week ended with the chief bully threatening violence in PE with a rounders bat not an empty threat, he has form, as his previous victim now spends breaks and lunchtime in the office for his own safety after a beating. I wasn’t aware that we imprisoned the victims and let the perpetrators go free in this country but there we are. H has an incident log which he showed the teacher and he was given the advice that he should watch the Wizard of Oz and try to be like the cowardly lion!!! DIL has been on to the school again and told them she will report them to OFSTED if it continues. Feel so bad taking him to school but apparently his parents will be in trouble if he has too much absence. Just heard how his day went and it wasn’t too bad just a bit of name calling and the bully was spoken to but not punished.
I agree with Roydo, the school is not doing anything to remedy the situation and your grandson is being made as if the one at fault which is outrageous, the bullies should be the one imprisoned and given the new threat of violence towards him then maybe it is time to involve the police and file a formal report against those mean kids.

Quite. If a kid is, and has form for, using a baseball bat, for bullying, that is a learnt behaviour, most likely from home. I will happily bet at least one £ that social services/plod, have his family on both their radars.

If the lad is in physical danger, keep him home. If the school want to ask why, tell em. And ask about their duty of care to safeguard THEIR pupils.

Bullying is one of a few things that make me rage. And like I said, this is violent intimidation now.

Same with me, such intimidation towards anyone, but especially a kid, makes me furious. Not only is a danger what they can do to him to hurt him, but this bullying could even push him to hurt himself, so many kids commit suicide because they can’t take such harassment any longer that they rather die. It is a horrible situation and the school seems to be ignoring doing something significant to deal with the bullying.

Hello friends. Taking a quick break from work to check on everyone. I hope your Monday is going well, mine started with an exhausting workout but it has been slow day at the office so I have been able to recover. I have not seen @jazzy or @Terrarian posting here today so sending a special Monday greeting. I also have on my calendar that today is @Bluerover anniversary, not sure if that’s the case but happy anniversary, amigo.

Lastly, today would have been Karl’s birthday so let's think of him fondly and hope that wherever he is that he feels all the love we are sending him today. We miss you, mate! ?

That's absolutely shocking. They are enabling the bully's behaviour by making the victims stay indoors whilst the bully'appears to be allowed to continue undisturbed. @roydo is right. I would be threatening to involve the police, Ofsted, MPs. And as for telling him to watch the Wizard of Oz, words fail me. I would also be writing to the school governors complaining about the way the school are handling it. Your poor grandson. What an ordeal for him.

Just been talking to his Mum about H and she is preparing a report about what has been going on. It will be going to the relevant authorities so hopefully something will be done and these children’s torture will end because I am sure that Harry and the poor lad who can’t go out at break times aren’t the only two.

That's so bad G. Does the said bully have rich or influential parents. ? Wouldn't surprise me.

Didn't know where would be the best place in the forum to post this, but does anyone know anything about the forum member Foot Long Hotdog. He was in treatment for cancer but hasn't posted since July 2021. I sent him a PM of support and got a reply but since then nothing?
Hi @davids This is as good a place as any for friendly help and support on all matters related to members struggling with health so if anybody knows anything it’s one of these lovelies .. I personally haven’t heard any chatter about your mate sadly … I hope he is just taking a hiatus … but do mention here to our mascoteers if you hear anymore
