Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Morning all, another lot of sad news from a mass shooting in USA so sorry @Sassy Colombian I know how much these effect you :(

So been out and managed to let Daisy off her lead for a run around, until as usual she rolls in dog shiz, really frustrating and one reason I don't like letting her off, as promised a few pics -

see the rugby pitch going over the hill, makes me laugh that, as a kid we played some opponents who played on a cow field that was literally an incline lol way more extreme than this one lol

Anyway hope you're all good and had a good weekend, got an appointment with the psychiatrist today, different to what I got told on the phone but i shall turn up as my letter says.

Near where we live we passed a sign in English and I have wanted to stop because it was for Border collies ,so of course we stopped yesterday and the husband is a scouser .What a small world he comes from County Road.
He is training and selling the dogs as proper sheep dogs working from a whistle ,one is off today to Korea .This world never ceases to amaze me . Sadly because of Covid restrictions the cost of getting dogs and the short season for training them means he is having to go back to the UK ,his wife is not happy as they have a 4 month old daughter and came to Finland so she could be with her family .
That's amazing. What a small world.

Love the pics! Good luck with your appointment.

Not caught up on the thread for a while. Poor 4G at the hotel. Spent yesterday in bed. Felt much better this morning.

Went to see the graves of Cal and my brother this morning. Had a really could cry at both and felt better afterwards.

Then went for lunch with Cals best 2 mates. Such a good time. Then met 2 old workmates in the evening. They are a couple who both retired withing the last 12 months and I've known the wife since we were kids as she lived 3 doors away. I haven't seen them since Cals funeral and before that for maybe 5 years. But the friendship was so real and meaningful. You could cut it with a knife.

Feeling a bit confused. I love Cornwall and love living there. But there's also a lot more love than I realised in the old city. Maybe the answer is to continue living in Cornwall but have frequent holidays in Liverpool.

Anyway, sorry I've been ignoring you. Two heavy days coming up so I may have to catch up after I get home on Thursday. I'll probably have lots of time?
Good to hear from you. I know exactly what you mean about loving where you are now but Liverpool still has your heart! I'm exactly the same. I love Durham I have lovely friends but there's something about the old place....

As @Gwladysover said crying is good. Let the emotions out.

Enjoy your next couple of days x

Hi guys. A morning where I have almost lost the will to live. Two back to back meetings, neither of which had any bearing on what I'm doing. But let's not be negative! Having had such a good time at the pictures a few weeks ago, we are going again tonight to see Elvis.
Not really my scene but Mr F is a big fan of Tom Hanks and Charlotte wants to see it so it's a proper family outing!

Son has moved in with his girlfriend in Nottingham and they have acquired two kittens. They spent £400 on one of them! A Bengal cat. Very gorgeous but £400? On a cat? More money than sense. The other one is just a moggy and equally gorgeous.

Reading stuff about DCL going to Newcastle. Hopefully it is just paper talk. We cannot possibly sell both him and Richy in the same transfer window. Can we?

Glad you're having a good holiday @Armaghtoffee . We've just booked a weekend in Scotland over the August Bank Holiday. Looking forward to that.

Enjoy your day people x

I used to watch that cat prgram on discovery where he'd help with problem cats, can't remember what it's called and bengals are no good as house cats and no good if you're out all day, they need a lot of stimulation, so good luck with that lol lol

Well I have been diagnosed with paranoid personality disorder and emotionally unstable personality disorder :(

Fortunately they can both work from home. Although they have just messaged me to say that the Bengal tried to climb up the chimney today!

How do you feel about that diagnosis? Does it fit with how you feel- obviously not connected to your other physical issues. Any chance of increased financial support because of it? And, most importantly, have they recommended anything for you - be it counselling, medication or holistic remedies? ( Sorry if all that was a bit too nosey. You don't have to answer!)

I was kind of expecting it, I already thought I had borderline personality disorder from doing some research into my behaviour and that is what emotionally unstable personality disorder is just a different name. Didn't expect 2 though lol

I will be going onto anti-psychotic meds and will have to undergo talk therapy but there's no cure unfortunately it'll be ongoing. I haven't looked into financials or anything yet, I'll look into it.

It is a weight off my mind having a diagnosis at last though, only been trying to get help for 18 years like. Could've saved me and a lot of people a lot of aggro if I'd got help when I first asked, instead of just being told I had depression.
