Gilly was french, band-leader Daevid aussie...the instrumentalists a mix of all over the shop.
They were based in France & England, mainly...had a weird rivalry with Magma....light vs dark, Daevid once called it. I love both!

yeah, him and Tim Blake (legendary synthmeister of the 70's) were both part of Gong's heydey during their 70's peak.
Hillage now part of System 7, who played GLADE stage yesterday.
