If I was FIFA I'd be sleeping soundly knowing that they have a policing system in place that denies entry to tens of thousands of hard faced gets trying to blag their way into their tournament's stadiums to cause a disaster.

But that policing system don’t seem to have denied entry to lots of fans without tickets - hence all the crowding on the steps which would have still caused issues if there had to be an emergency evacuation.

Teargassing elderly and kids (even if they are not the actual target) is not a solution that should make anyone sleep soundly. And there seems to have been little to no security for any fans on the way out.

I’m sure FIFA will not have any moral quarms - they after all have no issue with awarding a World Cup to Qatar and have swept under the rug all the abuses in the building of the stadiums.

Doesn’t mean that the rest of us should not criticize the police performance for this event.

Cryarsus saying needed more policing.
They should be forced to pay for the additional policing if they want to play in Europe next season.
Why should local police have to pay millions to put on additional measures just coz they are incapable of behaving themselves.

What were they supposed to do? Yell 'trick or treat' at em?
So far as the elderly and the kids go, right on, lets hear from them, lets hear them condemn the mob that lead to their suffering.

No doubt innocent LFC fans got treated badly - just blame the Parisian police for forged tickets plus the fans trying to rush the barriers ....?

It's just never their fault on every major incidents in history relating to football ......
