The 70% of tickets being fake that the French Ministers have claimed were rejected at entry isn't entirely unbelievable if you think that many of the Liverpool fans who were rejected at one turnstile/checkpoint would have tried again to get in by going to another entry point or rejoining the same queues etc. Many of these fans wouldn't have known they turned up with blag tickets as the ones circulated online pre-match looked legit. It's entirely plausible that many fans, some well-intentioned and others not, made numerous attempts to gain entry to the ground which is why the figures the French have given is so high.
 
Unbelievable outpouring of “Its not our fault” all day on radio and TV. Its absolutely beautiful to listen to this victim meltdown. Not a single person believes their crap. They steal off their own and steal from service stations and are proud of it and finally when they get their rightful treatment they cry about it. Absolutely delighted for them rats getting what they deserve due to their own fans misbehaving. Nothing else. Should take a look at themselves when they are finished crying about it.

That being said, Liverpool and UEFA should have had the nous to have a rule that only people with match tickets were allowed to get anywhere near the stadium. All that takes is better organisation - they only had one checkpoint in operation. Why? They knew loads had gone to Paris, so why not put a checkpoint on outside the station, and then one before the flyover, and then one after it?

That could easily have been done, easily policed and it weeds out those with fakes, or no tickets, or anyone trying to mug people or whatever.

It's a major final, in a very difficult area to police as it is it seems, so why not have a bit of nous and more common sense?

I'll blame the idiots for being idiots and they deserve what they get. But it still boils down to the people in charge not being prepared - I count the clubs in that too.

Also anyone who had a forged ticket would want to get in earlier to avoid meeting the person who had the seat they were stealing.

that club, it needs to have some gumption and responsibility, but when authorities lie like they have it's pretty sickening. That's all really.

I do I think its great.
the longer this rages on the more pressure on them to behave in future. that possibility being zero means eventually the hooligans end up in a fight they cant win.
I'll get the bunting out then. I'll decorate the entire British Isles!!!
