Does @Eggs still do the daily roundup of transfer news? I have email alerts set up by it always seems to contain mainly news about Everton the player somehow and news now is a minefield to pick through at the best of times.

Eggs’ summary was always a good read with the first brew of the day
No mate @Eggs has holidays, dark rum and grand kids to occupy him now. And rightly so.

We have to sell at least one of them (DCL Richarlison) or the squad will look very similar to last season barring one or two loans id guess.
We don't need a revolution, we literally just need more luck with injuries and 2-3 new players.

IF we can get lucky and sell Mina or Keane, and shift Gomes, that will buy us two new players to go into the starting xi.

We're getting money for Kean which can be reinvested into two players.

Patterson and Godfrey can be important for us next season but they've been forgotten about in recent months.

Iwobi can hopefully continue his upwards trajectory.

We have a lot of deadwood to clear, but wages will be down a LOT, and maybe we can get creative.

If we can bring in a starting centre half, centre midfielder and a squad player on the wing, that'll improve us no end.

Southampton and Palace were able to loan out promising young players from Chelsea, so why can't we get a decent player on loan too?

3 permanent signings, 1-2 loans. Difference from last summer should be we're aiming to bring in players to start, not to fill out the squad (even though injuries caused Gray and Townsend to become important first xi players all season).

It can be done without selling our best.

I did say we need huge changes, but that includes in luck and success of recruitment, not necessarily number of new players.

Sadly not, he retired from the roundups last summer.

Would anybody be interested if I complied a list of all the players linked this window?

It would require people to tag me in and I would update the list.

I suppose we would also have to agree what kind of links we included, ALL of them or only 1s with good sources, but then that opens up the whats a good source discussion, which would lean me towards having ALL.

If theres interest I will do it later, if not, I wont.

Hit me up fams.

no

Yes, you could also cite the sources linking credibility too. Ie Bobble/Fab/Joyce top tier...
Sports witness bottom tier et al.

We’re probably massively limited in what we can do ‘quickly’. I can only imagine what we offered for that lad from Hull and how far away we are in valuations. No way we can significantly up the offer until players are sold. The Chelsea lads on loan will have to have some pre-season with Chelsea before entering talks presumably (I really would like Broja).

The most realistic big sale is DCL, and as much as I like the lad, we got him for £1.5 mil and his sale would be insane for our books. Getting a big fee and getting a solid loan (like Broja) to slot in is astute whilst our position evens out. Ditto with Keane, any decent sale then replaced by Tarkowski on a free for example is good for books.

We need a proper right forward so badly, Johnson probably the first target but if Forest get promoted, apparently Cornet has a £17mil release clause. That leaves a midfielder as a ‘must sign’ position. God knows how much budget we have for all of that. The massive release list coupled with Kean and potentially DCL, Keane? Gray? in sales could give us wiggle room. I’m not looking forward to this window, not because I don’t think we’ll get some out targets, but you just know they’re all gonna be drawn out sagas
