ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

A victory parade for what will likely be a LC and FA Cup...so they throw what the women's team have done in there to justify it.

Ha Ha Ha.

1 title win in 32 years.

They know they aren't getting any more for another decade and want this Look At Me, Look At Me!!! session to make up for it.

This is more doubt it.

This reminds me I seen this rubbish yesterday, moaning about City while they are planning this, will they insist on a minute silence at the CL final?

Left Wing. lol lol lol

The organisation their founders were part of for years and years was the Liverpool Working Mens Conservative Association...a body that adopted the fascist straight arm salute in the 1930s.

Liverpool's social media bellends: it's like watching the Mail trying to claim they were on the side of anarcho-syndicalists in the Spanish Civil War.

Thirty seven years ago on May 29, thousands football fans travelled to Belgium for European Cup final between Juventus and Liverpool at the Heysel Stadium. Thirty-nine of them never returned.

Liverpool have chosen to have a party on the anniversary.

Scum of the earth club.

That's a disgrace.

I wonder what Juventus have to say about it?
They will blame the council lads, not their fault.

It had to be on the anniversary of Heysel because naby lad, origi and mini Motorola (all the key players in this miraculous season) won’t be there otherwise - not fair thaaaaa is it.

Plus, it was ages ago, not relevant anymore (if it ever was it them scumbags) no one cares about Heysel do they, especially if they are of rouge persuasion.

Wasn't so long ago they were trying to copyright Liverpool, hardly the action of a left wing organisation, anything to squeeze money.
They reserved for club shop outside anfield after the home game against Man United for the sole use of a fan club that had flown over from Asai, nobody local was allowed in, disgraceful

Imagine Juventus organised a victory parade on the anniversary of Hillsborough?

FFS, that surely cant hold as a date. They are going to get battered for that in Italy. It's not going to go unremarked on, that's for sure.

No wonder the Juve fans told that lot they could stick their apology up their arses in 2005.

This is sick. Absolutley venal.

Left wing. It's all bollocks.

They support a multi-national, multi-billion pound organisation who wanted to scab on the rest of football this time last year. An organisation that cashed in on a pandemic and tore their own worker's rights up on the spot.

They are one joke a of a fanbase.

2 trophies they have minimised and derided in the past.

If City win the Prem, and RM turn them over, they will be massively disappointed.

Expect attacks on council staff, and massive vandalism of our city, probably by mutants from Milton Keynes and Teignmouth.

It actually is pretty sickening, I can’t believe someone’s signed off on it. When you’re the most narcissistic organisation in the world though you probably don’t recognise your own hypocrisy. ‘Let’s parade all our trophies on the anniversary of 39 people dying at a football match’.

Their entire approach to Heysel is an utter disgrace though. A plastic plaque on the wall at Anfield and then never mentioned ever again apart from that cringey banner they brought out in 05 which was really just yet another ‘look at us’ virtue signal rather than anything sincere. I’m surprised that lot didn’t try and get it on a T-shirt for them to sell.

Martinez turned up at Anfield to pay tribute to a disaster that wasn’t directly involving Everton. I can’t remember the last Liverpool manager who even mentioned Heysel.

Total silence, ignorance, from the Red Echo, BBC, and SKysports.

Hypocritical scum.

Red Echo said they'd do some form of commemorative service on the morning......

Then all the players and fans can get pissed and completely forget about it as usual.

I find it remarkable that they couldn't request it be moved back by 24 hours......oh no hang on that would mean them recognising the anniversary and not being able to brush it under the carpet

Is there any reason they can’t have it the following weekend? I know a few lads that are going over (got tickets) who are gutted they won’t be back to see the parade.

They're usually held the next day unless there's other important things planned so it's one or the other for your red mates. Apparently, it said it had to be the 29th as players were travelling away on international duty straight after.

Imagine if Forest go up and have a parade on the anniversary.

It wasn't even an apology. The word used that day was "friendship". It damned well should have been "sorry".
