Promoted by the post a couple pages back suggesting that CSKA Moscow have asked about signing Gbamin permanently, I've had a peek at his stats since arriving in Russia...

He's doing quite well. Played the full 90 mins in a dozen games, got a goal and couple assists, playing almost exclusively as a DM.

Has anyone actually WATCHED his games? Is it possible that he may have recovered his fitness and *might* be worth keeping? Or is the standard over there so low that it doesn't count?

Being linked with Tom Lawrence from Derby County. I guess because Frank managed him, he’s on a free so I could understand it from a cost perspective. He’s a LW, so surely would be 2nd or 3rd choice. He’s been linked with several other teams, either just promoted to the premier league or just relegated to the championship

No idea mate. I know he was at Wigan before Leeds, but no idea where he was before that.

Someone else will pipe up and confirm/knock it down but I got a feeling he is an ex youth player we let go.

I’m not sure about the standard of the Russian league, I imagine it’s not great. I think the biggest difference with the PL is the level of physicality compared to a lot of European leagues. Just not sure he’ll ever be up to it fitness wise in the PL.

Just checked his wiki - says he was at Wigan from age 10 but no mention of before that. Is a red though apparently
