ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Didn’t watch it but heard they were doing nothing until a wild deflection got them a goal. Then a second that was clearly offside. Sounds about right. Not only do they get the easiest draws, they have VAR giving them every decision and lucky deflected goals.
I didn't watch it either, or check the result last night. Then I saw the headline this morning "Liverpool thrash Villareal". So I checked for the score thinking it must have been a cricket score. 2-0? What??!!??

They’re smart. They bring up that so called treble of twenty odd years ago to diminish any kudos that City’s double could achieve. Their media lackeys are well trained.
I've said it before on here but it's reminiscent of North Korea or sadly Russia these days. No honest debate allowed about them at all. Was in a pub in London yesterday having to endure a greatest hits of their 70s and 80s Euro nights on TV. Asked the barman to switch off and he did to his credit.

Flukey 1st goal, cross that deflected straight over the keeper
2nd goal offside but given onside

But tbf Villareal were absolutely crap. They're 7th in La Liga, something like 29 points behind Madrid so I'd have expected the rs to tonk them.

The rs will probably rest half their squad for the 2nd leg knowing Villareal will barely must a shot

Is every team who has just won the league cup on the verge of the quadruple now ffs?

From the media stories about them ‘closing in on the quadruple’ ‘8 games from immortality’ ‘at the finishing line for the quadruple’

You wouldn’t think that the PL was actually out of their hands and if City win five remaining games there’s nothing they can do about it. I don’t blame them though for being confident that the refs will shaft City at some point and Liverpool will be airlifted to five wins in a row.
