i was born end of 80's

my dad had a friend who was a luton fan so always knew they were nicknamed the hatters

i know they were once a decent side but then in the 90's they just took a massive nosedive and got into all kinds of trouble with points deductions similar to what derby are going through now

There is a BBC documentary about the consortium that owned them for a while - Trouble at the Top - it's still knocking about on You Tube.

Well worth a watch, it feels like a Ricky Gervais inspired docu-comedy spoof.

The chairman running a kind of Manager Idol competition, but ignoring the result is a particular highlight.
