A draw against Burnley the other day would have been just fine.Draws are very good when you’re 17th.
But we still need three wins at least so we have to win the home games.
Stopping the rot with a point or two on the road would be fantastic.

Yes, but winning games by the odd goal OR capitulating to a big loss is not the way forward.I like that though, draws are no good, go all out for the win, dont hang for a draw, not that we are, were just either rubbish or good, with no middle ground
Not really on that last part.So if we draw to Leicester but finish 17th at the end of the season we get relegated ?
No, we don’t. Lampard has spoken out against exactly this kind of logic, putting false “must win” status on individual games.
Burnley was presented as a “must not lose” because we were playing United in the next game. Look how that turned out.

A draw is not the end of the world in that situation no, but we still need three wins from somewhere and Leicester, Brentford and Palace at home are our best chances for that.Yes, but winning games by the odd goal OR capitulating to a big loss is not the way forward.
If we'd have been senisible in a few games under Lampard and played more conservatively at key points in games we'd have picked up 2 or 3 points up, for sure.
A draw against Leicester - as long as West Ham beat Burnley - is good news.
Yep if we could have got one or two of them on the road in recent weeks we'd all be more confident, but we didn't.Obviously all wins are better but little unbeaten streaks boost confidence. 1 win, 3 defeats, 1 win, 2 defeats etc. really deflates the club and the fans.
I think if the Burnley lads weren't expecting it I think it could really suck the life out of them too. Let's hope west ham really take them to the cleaners and cement some negativity there. No, we’re not out of it but you have to admit it is one hell of a present!
I’m no fan of Dyche-ball, but he was seemingly unflushable. There’s no question that it will give our lads a psychological boost.
Edit: unless they somehow get big Sam for the last few games.

Burnley was presented as a 'must not lose' because it stopped them gaining any ground on us and mentally that was a big plus to have.
It was a huge defeat that shouldn't have happened because the performance was good enough to warrant a win.
But we need to be targeting victory in the home games. We have 4 of them left and we need 10 points to guarantee safety IMO and based on what we've seen for, you know, all season, I don't back us getting a point away. It'd be great if we did, but it just doesn't seem likely atm, so we need 3 wins and a draw from the 4 home games.

I think a result away from home is coming. A point or two away from home plus a couple of wins at home may just do it.A draw is not the end of the world in that situation no, but we still need three wins from somewhere and Leicester, Brentford and Palace at home are our best chances for that.

Away from home yes, totally agree. Not being able to dig in and get draws has been the hallmark of our season and it's got us into this mess.
If we end up 5 points ahead of Burnley after each playing 31 games how can that be seen as anything other than job done for that round of matches?
In fact, draws all the way to the end of the season will get us safe.
