Relegation

I really can’t see it.

His time at Derby has been turbulent and looks likely to end in relegation.

I can’t see him wanting to leap into an alternate relegation. His next move will be to separate himself from the kind of chaos he’s experienced at Derby, or else he’ll be typecast as a manager of clubs in huge trouble.

Plus, I honestly can’t see him wanting to take a job where the only short-term measure of success would be to relegate Everton.
He has pretty much admitted he manages Derby to give himself something to do, otherwise he'd be stuck in front of the telly pissed up most days like any other fat, washed up waster. If he takes another job it will be for the same reasons. Don't think he needs the stress or pressure of a premiership job. But who knows, the self delusion of the "golden generation" when it comes to their talents is pretty much limitless.

Burnley beat West Ham I reckon. Seen it to many times with Moyes teams when we where in Europe, half arsed display
No mate. There surely must be a fall out and they pulled the trigger. Yeah 4 in 20 isn’t sustainable but this is Burnley and Dyche.

They only play one way. You do not undo 10 years of coaching in a relegation battle.

Burnley talk will be moot if they lose to West Ham and we beat Leicester.

7pts clear then with 7 to play...Burnley then having 3 games in April to our 1.

They would be under enormous pressure under a new manager to get 3 big results before May.

As anyone who has read my previous nonsense on this forum will know, I am not English and I do not look at all things English through rose tinted glasses, but to describe Wayne Rooney as a washed up waster is something that needs an element of scrutiny. As a player he was no world beater but very few are, he was an extremely good Premier League footballer, he wasn't good enough to make Everton, Man. Utd or England world beaters but he was good enough to get them in the shake up.
At Derby the club was dead and buried with the difficulties they had and he has done well with what he has to work with. As I say I am no Anglophile but it appears to me Wayne Rooney has done pretty well., aside from the infidelity, drinking and granny fancying, and I wish him well.
HelSket I have no idea where you are on your life's journey but I hope you are going well as I do for all Evertonians but I would caution labelling someone with Wayne Rooney's back catalogue as a fat washed waster.

I think sacking dyche on Friday and putting under 23 coach and putting Ben Mee in charge of west ham game doesn't add up with 8 games to go. Doesn't seem to be anyone lined up I say must have been a falling out between dyche and the board.

How are you describing “shake up” at Man Utd here? He won 5 league titles and was part of one of their best ever teams. What “shake up” were we involved in?

Did you read my comment properly? It said he was doing football management to distract himself from the bottle to avoid ending up drinking himself into a state where he just got pissed all day LIKE a washed up waster. That’s what he is trying to avoid. He clearly has a drinking problem, an illness. Managing keeps him busy. It’s a good thing for him otherwise, sadly, his life would risk being a mess. That is no judgement on his career.

Quite right, I'm afraid drink had been taken prior to posting that reply. He was successful at Manchester United and won stuff as part of a very good team, however I stand by my point that while he was a very good player he was no world beater and it would appear he can manage a football club.

Very odd timing. Maybe there's more to it. I don't think Dyche was doing himself any favours by leaving McNeil out in recent weeks.
To be fair and I don't watch them weekly but I believe McNeil has been very poor this season, hasn't scored and I would probably bet his last goal for them was against................yes us,Everton that;)lol
