We had a point per game under Benitez...38 points would see us safe...and we were 15th when he left.

And he had 10 of those points from the first 4 games, meaning he had 9 points from the next 14 games! Should have been sacked after the Watford humiliation at Goodison, and then we wouldn’t be where we are today!

Realistically he was never going to be sacked after the Watford game, but he most definitely should’ve gone after the derby.

But in this case you’re backing the manager and criticising the fans. It’s not the fans’ fault Moshiri brought Benitez in. The situation would’ve been avoided had he not done something so mind blowingly stupid.

All I can say is this: if we get relegated my conscienece is clear. I wasn't one of those agitating for over half a season and destabilising the club in order to get my own way.

My conscience is clear too. I recognise the problem at the club is Moshiri and have been consistent on that since Benitez was appointed. He is the one that’s derailed the club.

I agree with Dave, in the rules of the game, its a red card, hes reckless and not in control, its a dangerous tackle.

The issue is that the same tackle is made most weeks in this league and people arent even carded.

It's not the leg on the floor, it's that both sets of studs are showing that is the issue.

It was also a stupid thing for him to have done at the time and it looked worse and worse with every repeat on TV.
