Yeah you know it's been a tough start but I am happy with the lads efforts...but No in all seriousness they need to sack me...

Delph and Dele. Holgate was goosed and on a yellow. Was ridiculous to only use 1 sub
Delph maybe. But Dele is a 2nd striker you can’t play him in midfield at 2-2 in a game you can’t lose.

We were on top for the majority off the 2nd half. He’s probably thinking at worst 2-2 or we win. He can’t legislate for 4 idiots making mistakes in 40 seconds

Dele could have played Iwobi role, we were desperate for more creativity

*Takes deep breath*

Don't shoot me, it's an attempt to quantify sentiment bubbling in the Lampard thread. Seems some feel he should be booted if we lose to Utd. Simple question, yes or no?

Crazy in my view, despite my worries about how he sets up.
Nothing should happen to him. We’ve been a basket case for far too long, let’s actually give a manager time and let him have 3 or 4 seasons to build a team in his image. Nobody would get a tune out of the current squad, it’s going to take a few years to sort.

This is one of the most bonkers arguments out there. Organise a defence with Keane, Holgate, Godfrey and a never-fit Mina is like trying to turn water into wine. It's not possible. They are the weakest, most inept defenders I've ever seen. And Mina simply cannot be relied on.

We have no bus to park. We have a battered mini from the 90s with 250k miles on it. The only way we have an outside chance of survival is if these clowns stop making basic errors that would make you fume at a under 11s game. It's nothing to do with systems. It's about taking responsibility and doing your job properly. Something that seems alien to this lot.
Carlo proved it can be done. Low block with Holgate Rb , Godfrey LB, Keane and Branthwaite would work in a low block with 2 DM's. It's like people want to see us relegated. Away tactics are bonkers at the moment.

The absolute most embarrassing part is Watford actually have contingency plans in place. They sack and a new manager is the next day or so

We can’t even do that right.
It never fails to amaze me how they keep attracting managers. You must be mad to go there. Or just content with a huge pay off guaranteed to be coming your way.

Which is my worry for Everton- keep sacking managers and we become a much less attractive proposition bar those after a payout or who aren't up to much.

I don't think Lampard is after a pay out, I think he's genuinely ambitious. Whether he is a genuine up and coming top coach is a seperate question, but carry on like this we'll increasingly look a less and less attractive destination for anyone else who could be considered as such.
