Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

I've just read that @Terrarian really sad. Must have been very sudden - they are on tour in South America so doesn't seem like he was ill or anything. I've seen the Foo Fighters a couple of times. Great live and Dave Grohl, apart from seeming to be one of the nicest people in the world, is in the I definitely would category!
They were on my bucket list, he'll be hard to replace, Dave likes perfection in his drummers

@Terrarian My son got me into them. The first time we saw them was in Milton Keynes as an 18th birthday treat for him. Biff Clyro were on to ( don't like them). The second time was a few years back in Sunderland at the Stadium of Light. I think it was the only one they played on that tour because at the next one Dave Grohl fell off stage and broke his leg. Kaiser Chiefs were the support that day.

Cool, I like Biffy Clyro and I have seen the Kaiser Chiefs, I haven't been to a concert for a few years, since my mental health fell off a cliff, hopefully will get to one in the not too distant future.

Yep. Live music is deffo on the Jazzy list this year.
Can't decide between North Sea Jazz festival ( not much jazz but Lianne Le Havas, Melody Gardot , Alicia Keys , Nile Rodgers ) or Love Supreme near Brighton.

Where is that normally held Jazz? Sounds like it could be up Aberdeen on the rigs haha lol lol
The North Sea Jazz festival is at the Ahoy centre in Rotterdam, been many times before the pandemic. About 10 different stages non stop music from midday to 2am Friday to Sunday. Really friendly event , foods great but boy it is busy. Not too sure what covid measures they can introduce as it's all indoors.
Love Supreme is a outdoor event about 15 miles from Brighton.

Hope you have a great weekend @Armaghtoffee . Enjoy your trip. @Methuselah - hope the appointments go well or are going well. How's Mrs M doing? Loving the garden photos as well as HMS Queen Elizabeth. My Dad spent his entire working life in the Merchant Navy. At one time he was captain of a supertanker that was at that time one of the biggest ships afloat.

Crazy busy today trying to work and sort things out for the son and girlfriend arriving. They came this afternoon and we've just been out for a few drinks. Had a good time. This afternoon I became irrationally irritated by Mr F who was watching Howard's Way while I was working - he finishes early on Friday. It's MY team and MY film. I felt quite territorial about it all.

This was our cat today. I think it is something we should all aspire to!

Three down, two to go. Big one tomorrow - endoscopy. Not really looking forward to it but needs to be done. Hope all is well with you Anjelika.

Well there's a cue for a discussion. I'd probably go for New Order as long as Peter Hook was back. Second choice would probably be Muse. Such a hard question when you love music so much.
I've booked to see Whitesnake in May (supported by Journey and Europe - it's gonna be great. Big hair and Spandex! :D :D) and thanks to @bigjonny I've got tickets to see Deaf School in November. However my first choice if I could pick anybody would be Bruce Springsteen with the E Street Band. Second choice would be Aerosmith - never seen them, would love to.
