That could realistically happen.

But they have 11 games left and - even taking strange end of season results into consideration (which can count for us as well as those at the bottom around us) - the table suggests that they wont be running up another 3 wins in 11 games when they've struggled to that number in the last 27 games.

I'm just making the point that we should be concerned about where we are, but that we also should be clear headed about what it will take to survive.
Football is played on grass and not on form tables.

We have won like 2 games in the last 4 months.

Not going to be enough this time. 34 or 35 will be needed at least.

I'm not sure why you think that to be honest.

If we look at the past few seasons, where 18th was after 27 games versus end of the season:

2020/21 - 23 > 28
2019/20 - 24 > 34
2018/19 - 24 > 34
2017/18 - 26 > 33

Generally teams 18th or below don't amass more than 10 points in the last 11 games. For Burnley to go and get 13 or 14 points after getting 21 from 27 would be strange.

It only takes one of Watford or Burnley to get 4 wins (or 3 and a handful of draws) to make 34 or 35 the mark. The figures do show 34 being the mark twice to be fair.

I still think any team getting under 34 points is going down. Unexpected results happen in the last 10 games, and we only need a couple to get the safety mark to the mid 30s.

Unexpected results could happen but generally over a season it evens out with form.

The 34 point seasons had 24 rather than 22/21 that Watford and Burnley currently have.

I’m not saying it won’t happen but the evidence suggests 32/33 will be safe.

The difference between 32 and 34 points is potentially 1 goal though. It's one draw turned into a win.

I see 1 point per game, so 10-11 points as the target for us. We really don't want to be leaving ourselves open to one unexpected result sending us down.

No we were not. As @Ring master explained

will never ever get people saying that, we were 13th with 15 points off 14 games after unsworth's 4-0 west ham win (6 points off 8th or 5 points above the bottom 3), After his 1st game the 2-0 win v Huddersfield we were 10th with 18 points from 15 (4 points off 8th or 7 off 6th/7th), he had the chance to change the way people thought of him with the start he was given v the teams we played, the one we lost v Burnley in the march we could have been joint 7th with 9 games left but he never changed anything the way he
