My son was on Question Time tonight

….many years ago when the kids were small we were given tickets for a Question of Sport. We sat right behind Sue Barker but just before it started the producer asked us to move because my son & his pal had Everton shirts on. Mrs Eggs & my daughter stayed put, clearly seen on telly whilst I had to get out of shot with the boys.

Everton that.
That's awful, that...

No doubt one of those woke liberals
If this is directed at my son, then you will be disappointed to know that he is not 'liberal/Liberal' in any sense of the word, in that he has been a staunch Labour supporter and voter all his life...

And Brexiteer, no doubt.
Ah, we have a mind reader in our midst. Someone who knows something, with 'no doubt' whatsoever.
What an absolutely crass assertion to make about someone you know ABSOLUTELY nothing about.
Unfortunately, your kind of know-it-all attitude is endemic on this forum.

Just go away with your pathetic attitude...

Did he win? It's a gameshow right?

Apparently those in the audience wanting to ask questions have to submit two beforehand, and a further question when they enter the building. Then the audience is told whose questions will be accepted. His main question was to be on the Budapest Memorandum, and was it now 100% dead. A thorny subject at the present time. His question was not selected for the programme, so he had to just sit it out.

Here's a screen capture. He is on the left with his hand to his face:

Looks like he took the news well

I think they're teasing, Old Blue.

He's a very sensible, intelligent, person. The question that he put forward re the Budapest Memorandum was intended to draw out exactly what kind of response/excuse that would be advanced by members of the panel. To not have it put them probably peed him off somewhat, as they are told in advance which questions will be accepted, and which will not.

The other purpose of my post was to highlight the procedure for that show, which I did not know of before, which was submitting two advance questions, and then another upon entry. In other words, totally 100% stage-managed - nothing whatsoever off-the-cuff...

Maybe other people in the audience had better questions?

Sorry. Thought you were getting riled unnecessarily. ?
I'm an unmerciful piss-taker, but quite a few on here (who I will not name) would not realise it if they lived to be 100! They break out their faux outrage and butthurt, and I sit at my PC pissing myself laughing at them!

This site is a pleasant diversion for me for the team I have supported since the 1950s, and I spend far more time Admin-ing the various Facebook WW2 aviation pages keeping the loonballs at bay, and reading through the various guitar/music forums, and WW2 aviation forums, that I am a member of. So the clothheads who think they're 'where it's at, lid' and pile into me from time to time are just an hilarious distraction for me.

Seems to be an awful lot of pissing involved in your line of work.
