Only until Arsenal beat them.I suppose now the league cup is the biggest competition in world football.
Only if they win it - Klopp will eulogise that back when he was a kid in stuttgart he remembers watching in awe - Oxford utd v QPR in 86 dreaming of one day lifting that most coveted of three handled pots.I suppose now the league cup is the biggest competition in world football.
Open to the public to vote? If so it needs hijacking, just like an average goal from Salah against us won the puskas award.
Only until Arsenal beat them.
Thought he had laser surgery on those.Herr Shipman will be raging…
He’ll blame the mince pies
The old milk cup was a decent trophy TBF.Only if they win it - Klopp will eulogise that back when he was a kid in stuttgart he remembers watching in awe - Oxford utd v QPR in 86 dreaming of one day lifting that most coveted of three handled pots.
And the media will lap it up.
Things don't go well for them when cut to one leg!Really can’t see this unless Klopp puts out a weakened team in both legs. There’s no score Arsenal could be up by after the first leg that I wouldn’t bank on a full strength Liverpool clawing back at Anfield. The only way I see them losing that is if it gets cut to one leg and it’s at the Emirates, or if Klopp wants to make some silly ‘look how difficult I have it’ statement and play kids both legs whilst Artets puts the full team out. I’m not even confident Arteta will do that as he can sniff a top 4 spot now with United all over the place.
I cant wait to see Liverpool torn to shreds against Chelsea down there.
Lukaku is going to knock a couple in.
Chelsea 4 - 1 Liverpool (Liverpool pen).
All I can think after that is 'fnarr' ...Need City to not get complacent. Brentford and Arsenal away are both tricky fixtures. If they drop any points at all then Liverpool will bounce into that Chelsea game knowing a win probably puts them back in the hunt.
Conversely if City can slam two wins on the board and a 12 point gap requiring Liverpool to beat Chelsea then Tuchel is good enough to take advantage and screw them on the counter.
Spot on. And it's why the Burnley comments earlier in the week were so offside. They keep moaning about squad depth and City’s wealth but last night in amongst their mythical injury crisis (like seriously is anyone even unavailable for them?) they had on the bench
A 36 million pound centreback
A 60 million pound midfielder
A 30 million pound forward who is normally first choice but only on the bench because their 50 million pound reserve forward is keeping him out
They had Thiago fit but not selected because he hadn’t trained enough - 30 mill pound player.
On the pitch they had a 70 million pound goalkeeper, behind a 70 million pound centre back (both world record fees at the time close to double what the previous record was for a player in that position at the time)
A midfield three worth 100 million pounds
A front three worth close to 130 million pounds.
‘It’s not fair though because City have got money’
