I am really not. I was just doing my usual, wait and see before crying. Like I did with Gray. You win some you lose some. He was never meant to play was he, 2 or 3games over the year if DCL was out, we were just unfortunate with injuries

This is a ridiculous defence of the transfer

If someone is only capable of playing 2 or 3 games a season then they really should not be signed. The idea it is sensible to give someone like £50k a week to play 2 or 3 games a season seems pretty crazy to me.

We gave him a two year contract with the option for a third, weird decision for someone who "was never meant to play". On that basis, a one year deal to get us over the P&L hump would be just about defensible but 3 years, wow.

Not really, you pay big bucks for your main payers, and as little as possible for those who are meant to play less, it is totally normal.Just like our reserve keepers we bought in and players like Zat Knight etc in the past.

I really doubt he is on a very low wage. Do you think he will have left China to come here for a small contract?

You said he would only play 2 or 3 games. Do you think it's worthwhile signing players on good money, under that premise?

Yes, and these are the type of player I am on about. Small wage and back up, never intended to start
I don't know their wages. Too much whatever it was. I remember seeing 90k bandied about for rondon, and I would expect it to be around that with no transfer fee paid. I saw lots of reports putting him up on 150k+ when he went to China, and even after a phased reduction when they brought the salary cap, it was still remarkably high which is why they didn't get a settlement agreement for months of trying until we showed we wanted him.
