There is about an 80% chance of a SC this afternoon, so the teams will have to be absolutely on it reading the race to make sure they make the optimal decision at the right time. Can also only help Verstappen, I feel, as the man likely to be doing most of the chasing this afternoon.

Bit odd this track. F1 has been so safety conscious for many years and safety has improved a lot so now the introduce a track that seems ridiculously dangerous. Thinking this one will be a bit of a lottery, whoever stays out of trouble the longest will win

To be fair the crash on the grid could have happened at any track, I’ve saw the replay and he’s just not seen him. Hope they are both ok.

Agree. I was talking in general. I think I read this is the second fastest track in the calendar but watching the onboard footage yesterday in qualifying it seems like driving though a tunnel all the time with lots a blind corners.

Max's engineer made a comment on the radio that sounded like, 'minimise clutch usage.' Maybe they've not taken the grid penalty for a new gearbox at a risk.

If Max ends up with a DNF, the championship could easily swing heavily towards Lewis; take the penalty, be safe and go for a solid return in points.

Indeed, when he was pushing it earlier in the lap I was thinking there is a good chance he bins it, so i wasn't surprised in the end. One thing sending it but it's hero/zero stuff.

That was the old max who crashed at Monaco during qualifying.

It's staggering how people don't identify patterns in sport. Most remember the good, disregard the bad, because they're fans.

See it with Lukaku in football for instance, and you definitely do with Verstappen's petulance and rashness. Moments of genius disguise a lot of ills.
