No way are we getting relegated this year. DCL and Richarlison will score too many for that to be a realistic scenario. Benitez likewise, for all his faults, should get us comfortably to 45+ points before he hopefully has the grace to walk away.

Next season however is starting to look a genuine concern. Absentee owner who is looking suspiciously like he's losing interest, next manager being a complete unknown quantity and our best players (all two of them) will doubtless be agitating to leave.
Agree on next season, this season is just frustrating, just look at all the teams on 15 and 16 points, they dont have the quality we have, we just need it fit.
Several teams are going to press on again in the summer, even a top 10 will be a lot harder and the more we lurk in the bottom half of the table the closer the drop will get

It's out of control...a real concern.

No, not the team's position, the hair on fire posts of blind panic (and faux panic for effect).

We are 4 points off top 7, 6 points from top 6.

There's 14 games out of 38 gone.

Unbelievable the reaction of some on these threads.

It’s not all about the league position though . It’s the total mismanagement Of the playing side of the club. Even the women are crap lol

Spot on. We are probably looking at a relegation fight if/when we sell DCL and fail to spend whatever money that is properly.

In our brave, brave lionhearts, we must trust: but I fear our gullibility will be exposed. I do not watch one second of any Everton game anymore and I only follow the team's fortunes via this forum... I particularly like the 'Fit Birds' thread

From SportingLife.com:

Could Everton be relegated?

Things aren't looking good for Rafael Benitez and Everton.

After a 4-1 home thrashing in the Merseyside derby they have now lost six of their last seven games and won just once in 11 fixtures in all competitions.

That beating by Liverpool caused a serious price reaction too, with the Toffees coming in from 11/1 to as short as 6/1 for relegation in places.

Huge amount of bedwetting for years. Apart from 2020 when Carlo came in.

The bottom of that table is looking very, very scary.

Given the list of fixtures we have in December and the signs of life from the bottom clubs we could well be in that bottom three by Christmas or shortly after.
