The fact that the manager appears to have inexplicably linked himself to this bloke and is prepared to almost sacrifice his reputation with the fans to try and prove a point Is as incredibly sad as it seems doomed to failure . After a few games already proving himself a likely contender for one of our worst ever strikers , horrendous.

It tells you a great deal about Benitez's arrogance and ego.

This fella started against Villa. Was blowing out if his arse after 10 minutes. "Don't worry just needs minutes".

Starts against qpr. Has one of the funniest shots 2nd half where it clears the Moon from 10 yards.

Starts against Norwich. Might as well finished after 5 minutes against Norwich.

Starts against Utd. Superb performance from 10 man Everton to get a point.

Starts against West Ham. Its comical how bad he is. So bad he'll never get a start again.

Starts against Watford. He'll come good surely.
Half time. He'll surely get taken off.
Full time and another waste of 90 minutes.

Anyone and I mean anyone trying to defend this sad excuse of a striker should be utterly embarrassed. He's already become a laughing stock and it'll take about 10 goals in the next 5 games for that to change (that won't happen as you have to actually move for that to happen)

I genuinely can't think why Benitez would have thought this was a good idea. Oh wait, yes I can......he's a past it has been manager.
Spot on mate.

Moving forward past the insuts and correct analysis of this appalling player...

...will Benitez move him on in January?

…..I don’t think Benitez expected the reaction yesterday when he brought Gordon off. He tried to mask that decision by ridiculously claiming Gordon can’t play 90mins. He’ll say anything to justify his actions, he’ll blame anybody to explain failings.

Benitez has huge ego, he’ll upset people whilst he’s here.

The most obvious thing to do yesterday was to play three in the middle with Holgate, or three in defence with Holgate, and Rondon sitting.

You can't have Rondon wasting touches, and you can't have Allan/Davies in the middle which got torn apart at the end.

I don't have a problem with Gordon/Gray coming off (though they shouldn't have), but Gordon was always going to be one of the ones coming off.
