Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

The opposite with us, I get to the checkout only to find loads of crisps, sweets, chocolate and other assorted goodies chosen by the husband who has met someone he used to work with and is having a catch-up on all the things that have happened since he retired 7 years ago!

I try to avoid people I know because I know once I get chatting it will be half an hour of being in peoples way. I hate when people block me but I'm a hypocrite as I am dreadful for it.

Yeah I still have some but I know Costa is 5 minutes from home and where I'd be going if something went wrong. People on here and the ones where I live are helping give me my confidence back. We were trying to sort a big get together of the lads but one of the lads it's his birthday weekend so he can't come. He offered to look at rearranging but me and another lad said no as I might get poorly and not make it and he deserves his birthday treat. It meant the world to me that he offered.
Hope you enjoy your coffee or tea and chat with your friends.

I’m the same - I try to avoid people because the thought of being “trapped” talking to someone brings on my anxiety and I start to panic that I am unable to get away in case “it” happens. Having said that I’ve no idea what “it” is which makes no sense at all.

My worry is that I'll see sadness in them that I'm so poorly. However if I do I will tell them not to be sad but to be glad that they've given me something to look forward to and I know o we will have a laugh. Anyone who takes time out of their day to check on me or will meet me knowing I'm likely to be grumpy is worth their weight in gold

I'm more of a tea drinker myself but we'll see how I feel when I get there.
Sadness is only natural but charming devil that you are I’m sure you will all have a good laugh sharing tales of work escapades.

How about if you could spend the night in Liverpool instead of driving back right away the same day?

I have a few anxiety issues at the minute but I also thought that. I need to feel a bit more confident about things before I commit I am hopeful but need to get away from these scares first. I worried be terrified going into a hospital that I'd never been in.

Hi Messy,

I think staying over if you go to the match again is a very good idea by @Sassy Colombian

One of my best mates owns a B&B out in Hale ( by the airport ). All the rooms are self contained, as they`re the old out buildings of his barn conversion and there`s a couple of really big rooms, which are like little flats that have fridges, a microwave, even a cooker in one of them.

He`s a good blue and he`d really look after you and who ever you came with - he quiet often runs guests to and from the match.

It`s not a normal B&B set up, much more friendly and personal, plus you have your own privacy too, as your not sharing with other guests.

Really easy to get to off the motorways as well.

Something to think about ?

I'll have a think and I'll get back to you. Just another sign of how good everyone on here is. It would be great for me to attend and keep my 100% home record up.

Happy Thursday, Karl!

Enjoy your outing with your lady friends, lucky them. I wish I were the one having tea with you this afternoon. Which one is your favorite tea?

btw, as we have been talking about soup I guess my smart phone has been keeping up with it because just last night this article popped up on my news feed lol

Ha ha. Tomorrow you will have a feed full of tea. I'm very basic really my favourite tea is PG Tips in pyramid bags. My favourite coffee is Kenco. It's just the way it is. I do like others just I prefer to stick to more basic tastes. I didn't like Earl Grey when I tried it.

You don't wish you were I've had to message them already to apologise how bad my crack will be. Two of them were my manager at different times. That's how I got to know them as they were telling me off for being bad or distracting others. It was all good fun. One of them is expecting her first child.

Maybe you and Mr Sassy will travel over for a game one day and I could go to the same game and we can meet up for a lovely cup of tea.

I like chai but grew up drinking earl gray, it is my dad’s favorite. I used to drink coffee when in Colombia but no anymore is just too much caffeine for me and it makes me jittery.

I’m sure your lady friends understand your crackness (not sure if that’s a word but if not I’ve just invented one ?) you are going through a lot so don’t worry about it. If they are taking the time to meet you it’s because they care.

I would love that! My husband knows about you and I give him daily updates on how things are going.

They are all very caring and yes they will know what it will be like when I get going. Crackness is definitely a new word. Ha ha.

Is Mr Sassy an Evertonian or is he resisting being chosen? Hopefully we can keep giving him positive updates and you can get to England.

Tea and coffee do different jobs for me. I like tea a lot and I can drink it for pleasure. Whereas coffee I use it for a boost or a double boost if I put sugar in.

You deserve caring people around you so it is comforting to know you have such people by your side. I’m good about such word creations, Spanglish has become one of my specialties lol

Yes, Mr. Sassy is also an Evertonian. He couldn’t resist the calling. He is not as passionate as I’m so he won’t get up at 7 am on a Saturday or Sunday to watch them but when the time is right we watch the games together and he loses it, as badly as the lads on the main match thread, when we are not playing well. It must be an Evertonian syndrome.

Coffee and sugar are definitely a way to boost one’s energy so I can understand why you drink it. For me tea is like a comforting drink, a routine, the way to start my morning right :)

When I watch Everton I go through every single emotion its what they do to you. I still care even at the end of the season when the game doesn't matter. He fits right in with us chosen ones. I don't blame him for not getting up just to be let down. Ha ha.

Let's put it this way your English is far superior to my Spanish and nearly as good as my English so don't worry about it. However if you make new words up the are supposed to be short words. Just keep doing your thing as your posts are easier to read than some on here that English is meant to be their first language. You should see the amount of times I have to rewrite things sometimes my fault sometimes autocorrects fault. Your phone must have identity crisis at times with you going from one to the other.

Hi mate. How are you doing.

Bit late to the party today. Had an enforced absence but seem to have been given a reprieve for some reason ;)

Been getting everything ready for my long trip up to Liverpool tomorrow. Already arranged to watch the match Sunday with a couple of mates so getting the important things sorted. (Sorry babe. Only Joking )

I've just got back in from my coffee. I actually had a hot chocolate. It was nice to catch up and we have arranged to reconvene in 2 weeks it's took more out of me than I thought so just gonna relax for a couple of hours now.

I'm sure Mrs Barnfred would want you to watch the match in the best company just hope now everything is sorted it goes smoothly from now on. You are in all our thoughts.
