Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

I hope you can go home tomorrow too, darling.

I guess you just going have to let go of some tasks around the house, maybe some family and friends can help around if you need it. I wish I could be closer to lend a hand. But is there anything I/we could do from far away?

I have been well, just working on my garden. Had to cut some of my CBD plants that were ready for harvesting.

No there is nothing anyone can do from far away apart from be on here to talk about my favourite topic Everton.

I'm optimistic about getting home and once I'm home I'll sort out a plan of what needs done what can be done another day and what needs delegated to someone else.

Sounds like you have been busy hopefully the weather stays nice for you.

Annoyingly we have an international break now so no Everton for 2 weeks. However it might be the opportunity to get a few players fit.

Your inner strength and spirit is an inspiration to us all pal. You are truly a remarkable man.
We are so lucky to have you here.
Keep on keeping on xx

Thank you they are very kind words. As I've said previously I drew many benefits from the depression thread this just me trying to give something back. Also getting the words out is cathartic.

Okay but if something comes up don’t hesitate to ask. I know some people have more support and resources than others but no person should be stressing out about finances so if we ever need to do a fundraiser I'm sure a lot of folks would contribute. So you know.

Yes! Getting back home is definitely the main priority!

My international break is going to be a busy one as Colombia NT has to play 3 WC qualifying matches against Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay ? You are welcome to join me if you are ever awake at that time.

Unfortunately it has begin raining here and it is going to be gray for the next few days, the reason I wanted to cut some of my plants.

I've just got home now. I'm physically and mentally exhausted but I think I'll start to feel better once I can control my daily routine again. I'll keep my updates coming and all the kind words have meant the world to me.

That's great news. That's just put a massive smile on my face. You must be pleased to be home and I'm glad to hear our messages have meant so much to you.

Just out of interest, how did you become an Evertonian? For me, I'm originally from the Wirral, and my scouse mum was a big Blue. She had Everton as her birthplace on her birth certificate, so you could say Everton was in my blood from the start.

Honestly all the kind words overwhelm me at times hopefully there will many more good discussions on here.

Not really sure as I'm from Cumbria where 80% of folk support United or RS. The first game I remember is 89 Cup final and I wanted Everton to win. I don't think I picked them because they were champions on 87 as I wasn't even 6. My dad liked football but didn't support anyone so it won't have been his influence. I suppose I was ultimately chosen. It wasn't until 91 that my obsession with them grew. My first two favourite players were Southall and Cottee. It was the 90 World Cup that got me into football but as I say it wasn't until early 91 that it took over. I remember listening to the 4-4 draw on the radio.

Great news Messy, delighted for you.

You always sleep better in your own bed and maybe now you can watch a recording of Saturday’s game and enjoy it like we all did ?

Whereabouts on the West coast are you mate ?

One of my oldest mates is a blue and lives in Gleaston. I’ve been out a fair few times with him, to watch the match in Dalton in Furness and there’s been a fair few blues watching the match in the pubs up there ?

A small town called Workington. Its near Sellafield. There are a few blues here but it's mainly RS and United. Newcastle are probably 3rd most popular team. It's all changed now as glory supporters will support City and Chelsea these days. There was no fans of either of them clubs when I was growing up.

I know Workington, that’s right up the coast.

I’m guessing there’s a few blues further down, as lads from Liverpool, went to work in the shipyard at Barrow and settled in the area.
