Yep....its an incredible decision by any level of footballer...look at the space he has to take as many touches as he wants...chances don't come much easier, even the keeper will think its a goal at this moment...
He has all day. Pick his spot, wait a split second to make sure Mina is onside, do a few keepie ups, drive towards the keepr and smash it. Pop the ball on his left and slide it into the net. So many options. Picks the one option he shouldn't have.

mate he is professional footballer .. a cb … I’m pretty sure he knows the offside rule . He would have plenty of high pressure situations while defending to make offside decisions , I don’t think standing behind the ball is that much of expectation from an international footballer do you?
The fact that you dont accept that Mina wouldn't have the composure and movement to stay onside and score says it all. No blame can be placed on either Davies or Mina. Davies saw a chance to get the ball in the net a lot less problematically but Mina just strayed offside as he isn;t a specialist.

i would have taken the result before ko but the fact remains that when we are presented with opportunities we blink first or bottle it. We had one player that didn’t back himself enough to shoot , the same player also didn’t have the awareness to see the other was offside , while the other didn’t have the ability to stay onside … while our “ opportunities “ fall to players like that, we will always be the bridesmaid and never the bride
You're talking about ability. That's not related to bottle. We've seen teams fold under pressure in our recent past rather than trying to pressure the opposition. None of that happened yesterday. The team played well, won a good point and was unlucky it wasn't more. Honestly, you're just looking for an excuse to moan.

Think both were as culpable as each other. Firstly Mina clearly running offside and the time and space Davies had, he had the opportunity to see Mina was offside and shouldn’t have made the pass.

Tbf you can see why he passed it... if that was anyone else they are having a crack at goal though.

Whats annoying is we often overcomplicate things instead of having a shot/throw a cross in. Gray did one where he kept running and it went out of play instead of just wellying it into the box where either one of ours gets on the end of it or one of theirs knocks it out for a corner.

I zoomed in on the picture so it was just tom and the keeper in shot. Look at the space.

But it isn't. I'm not even sure it is 50% of the time.

The thing is if he knows Mina is off he should never pass but he doesn't know that. It's not about courage, it's about what is higher percentage and finding Yerry simply is. He's made the right play, Yerry didn't do his job.
No he didn't, he lost his bottle and was afraid to shoot, send him on loan to the Championship or league 1 he needs to go somewhere to get some confidence he's no good to us if he's not going to take chances like that.

I was merely pointing out that you said we bottled pressure games to go top or top 4 and we are top 4; not by bottling it, but by a narrow margin. One player made a bad decision, either Davies or Mina - depending upon one’s particular mindset- but we did not play at all like we bottled it.
I did not say I was happy about the final outcome, more that your post and subsequent response are utter garbage.

Had we done the usual roll over and die, I would agree.

I didnt say we bottled it mate. Must have been someone else.
But there is a disapointment because of that chance at the end. It was very Evertony of the past few years. And fell to a player i have felt the club need to move on from.
