Need to keep a manager longer than 18 months to do that.
We actually don't. We need to do better in the DOF position. Whether that is replacing Brands (it might be) or allowing whoever it is to do as they want without having to answer to managers and having the owner reach around them (it definitely is this to a large extent) fixing that area of the club would go a long way.

He seems happy enough about it.

Would appear that tax in Qatar is a max of 10% - whereas James will have been paying 45% on his basic salary here (before image rights paid to a private company etc)

Some suggestions that he'll be on about £6m a year there, which (after tax) would be the same as about £10m per year here (about £200k per week)
There is no personal income tax in Qatar.

The 10% applies to businesses. (and not all businesses)

The only tax that effects individuals in VAT (5%)

Whichever way I look at it, it’s a sad day to be a supporter of the club. He brought magic to the pitch, that first game of the season against Spurs running the show along with Allan and Doucs, then the next 3 games showing his class. Went downhill a bit with the numerous injuries hitting us early last season. Perfectly weighted pass to Richarlison at Anfield, the lads class on his day, just inconsistent.

Oh well, what could’ve been.
