Player Valuation: £70m
It's exactly this lack of transfer strategy that leads to us handing lucrative 5-year contracts and mega money offers to players like Alex Iwobi. Fully expecting us to throw 25 mill at arsenal for that Miles fella
What's your thoughts on this? Hope we can sign him.I wish people would read the thread back and stop clogging it up with the same twitter links.
Thanks.

I can't believe I'm saying this but Lingard is a good player. 25m is too much but he's worth signing for less if we can get it down. Not going to happen this one. I just hope we don’t revert to type and throw 25m at Lingard. Similar to how we got Iwobi.

That’s the attacking lineup I’d expect of a team like SunderlandIf Lingard is on 100k a week or so Utd may be happy just getting him off out on loan with Ronaldos big wages coming in.
Not Lingards biggest fan but would be happy enough with him on a loan deal for the season.
DCL
Richarlison
Gray
Lingard
Townsend
Iwobi
Rondon
Decent attacking options compared to seasons gone by of having the likes of Tosun, Gordon & Benard our main options off the bench.
Chuck James in too and there's good options. Lingard would cost a fair bit, his stock has never been higher after last season. If Lingard is on 100k a week or so Utd may be happy just getting him off out on loan with Ronaldos big wages coming in.

To be fair to Gray and Townsend they've offered a hell of a lot more over 4 games than the bulk of our other attacking transfers over recent seasons. Tosun, Niasse, Bernard. Christ we've done some garbage business in recent years. That’s the attacking lineup I’d expect of a team like Sunderland
Rafata has really brought this club lower than Moyes’ knife to a gunfight mentality

Stmbling block being we don't have two notes to rub together.
Townsend really hasn't shown any quality but Gray has been a revelation so farTo be fair to Gray and Townsend they've offered a hell of a lot more over 4 games than the bulk of our other attacking transfers over recent seasons.
