Everton Summer transfers 2021

You are using the fact that we have been scouting Dumfries for weeks and that the window is open for a good while yet to say that Seamus is our first choice RB next season

Until we sign a right back, I will assume that we won't be. Because I've waited for years for this and it's been the priority in every single window, but we've done nothing about it bar loaning Sidibe.

Why on earth is anyone bothered about this? He's 32 but still streets ahead of Kenny and a model pro.

He'll hopefully be the back-up right-back this season. Did people seriously think we'd sign a right back and release him on a free or something?

Because someone is gonna pay money for him next Summer?

Well surely it just means we're rewarding our club captain by not having him be in the last year of his deal. He's clearly still of value (which is absolutely what should be the case anyway) and it's just a one-year extension.

We need a new right-back still, I don't think we aren't looking, though I also agree with @ToffeeTim that there's no excuse for one not having been in the door already.

If we were giving Kenny a new deal, then it'd be different.

Yeh and he can be of value, as a back-up, this season, like he was already contracted to do.

Why does he need another year? He's only going to retire/leave on a free regardless. It's just one of the most pointless things I've seen this Summer.
