Iirc,Townsend never wanted to leave spurs when he was on loan somewhere, he wanted to fight for his place at his parent club.
So he knew he wouldn't make it at spurs so tried his luck at Palace, now he's dropping to us.
Similar with Gray, although knocking Vardy down the list is a tough ask.

So he suited that system which is the style Benitez plays.

There are fans on here who call Lookman a waster, headless chicken, cry baby etc yet I would still have him off the bench everyday of the week over Benard and an out of position Josh King.
This is becoming utterly embarrassing now. Trying every opportunity to defend these awful signings by this fat kopite rat

Years and years of you moaning that we’re going nowhere and we have no ambition, yet as soon as this fat kopite walks through the door and starts buying gash you become positive

Mmmmmmmmm

Maybe because I've realised theres more to life than moaning about petty things after 18 months of living in a global pandemic.

Not only that we've just had Carlo Ancelotti as manager and finished 10th + 12th.

We aint as great as some believe and shouldn't be turning our noses up at squad players just because they aint Mbappe and Haaland.

I've told you for years you shouldn't be turning your nose up at the likes of Ings and Zaha and here we are signing lesser players.

Time for you to reflect and atone my boy.

Do you realise we will never be great if we keep signing multiple iwobi clone?

2 year deal, 1.5 mil, there is pace and ability there as you say and a second chance at a decent club might give him a kick up the bum.

Even if he does absolutely nothing for us, he won't even be in our worst 50 signings.
Let's see if we can beat Derby to signing Ravel Morrison . He might be ok with a kick up the bum , mind you he's had a few of those already.

Gray is fast with no end product, honestly that will do for the price. We aren't signing a fast winger who scores/assists consistently as they would not come to a team with no european football.

At least we are addressing the lack of pace on the counter which is what style we will be playing

You really need to start looking outside your little stats box and realise a players attitude can be a huge improvement. Players like iwobi are a cancer to this club. He has no fight in him and isnt arsed if we lose.
Naismith had a great attitude but was a poor player. Ideally, you need both things. I'm sure Townsend is a nice lad and will try hard, he's still not good enough. Gray is supposed to be a bad egg, so your analogy doesn't work for him.
