Imagine if there was a third option where we actually signed creative players to support him. Pie in the sky though, check out the James thread, being chased out with pitchforks. Evertonians don't deserve quality players, we deserve Gray and Townsend and Iwobi, who's clearly not going anywhere.

You're bang on, players with very few career assists or goals will start racking them up at Goodison Park for some reason.

Pop into his thread, loads want him gone. He's lazy, he doesn't play enough games, he doesn't do enough defensively, he doesn't love Everton enough. Yet loads want Andros Townsend. We get what we deserve.

They might not even come here but if they do they will be better than Bernard/ Iwobi for sure.

Unfortunately, we've wasted a fortune in the last few years in the pursuit if such players. We are where we are, if bringing in a cheaper but similar option brings in funds for better quality down the line, so be it. I see more pain before things look remotely rosey.

If he played more games we wouldn't have been able to get him. 100% fit James doesn't sign for Everton, Ancelotti or no Ancelotti. I'd rather have 26 games of James (what we got this season) over 38 games of Townsend.

We aren’t gonna be getting 38 games of Townsend, he’s there as cover for either flank and to maybe start cup games
