Don't you mean the other way around? I've been watching American TV all my life, far more than most Americans have been watching British TV I'd wager and I'd like to think I have a better understanding of American culture/language than most Americans have of our British culture simply because I don't think most Americans have been exposed to it (changing a bit now due to the internet but still).

I doubt TV shows the real culture of the country on either side.

I guess it depends on the program but they will help people learn everyday language and phrases, and language itself is a massive part of a country's culture!

Maybe not Pirlo but more Marchisio when Bradley actually gave a crap about his career. He was a decentish player. I think most Americans can't stand him since he took the cushy paycheck at Toronto and dropped four levels that cost us in 2018.
