I've never actually heard 'football's coming home' and not heard Sweet Caroline in the context of this tournament. So I'm not working off that narrative.

I know that Islamophobia is rife in Britain. But guess what. It's rife in Spain aswell.

So those women would be in danger of abuse (verbal and/or physical) even if there was no football.

I've also read that women in general are 38% more at risk of domestic violence when England lose so let's hope they keep winning until we can rid ourselves of this horrendous minority. Because, yes. It is a minority.

I menioned the other day that clinging sadly onto England victories is usually down to fans of clubs who dont get success. 26 years of failure may have swayed some of our lot to supporting the party of the Tory Establishment and the mill town nazis.

For me, we're a big city club with a big club attitude, and I scorn any movement toward the national team.

I actually do think the Danes will do it personally.

England have a bit more in their favour imho. Denmark had a tough game in hotter conditions and had to travel a few thousand miles back to another base which isn't home. They visibly looked worn out in that second half while England had a fairly comfortable game and were able to rest quite a few players by taking them off early. With the squad depths and Denmark running on emotion which only lasts so long I can see the Danes starting brightly and then fading as the match wears on.

The only way I see England lose is if they get a bad bit of luck where a player gets sent off early or they freeze like rabbits in the headlights given the weight of the game.

What do you mean? I had England down to also win 3-1 against Ukraine. Not like I got the result wrong just the exact scoreline and if we could all do that regularly then we'd be rich.

Whereas you did show photos of fans dressed as crusaders and Boris Johnson in a definite attempt to present them as representing the average England fan. Because that is your dogmatic narrative.

Let's have it right: it shouldn't be this way, but the national football team are seen as a last bastion of white England. Some outside of that ethnicity may identify with the national team - and good for them for trying to deny them that space. But national teams are vehicles for right wing identity politics based on exclusiveness - see for examples the Golden Dawn movement that latched onto the Greek national team and the Carpathian Brigade who have turned support for Hungary into a pro-Urban, pro-fascist activity.

I'm sure you posted that you wanted the Danes to stop scoring because you had 2-0, and within seconds the Czechs scored. Then seconds before England got their 4th you posted for them to stop scoring.

I don't know. Maybe it was just the timing that made the posts so funny.
