There are a lot of teams off their traditional peaks at the moment except England and to a lesser degree Italy! Still think the French are pretty good despite getting knocked out.

Denmark in the semi's .. yes please!

Spain in the final at Wembley .. still good!

Italy in the final at Wembley .. still should win but trickiest match by far if they turn up.

As a person who actually wants England to win, Italy have to be the favourites by a country mile even when you consider the draw and the Wembley factor.

They're confident and have unity as a squad, in a rich vain of form and have a talented squad. Spain have been dreadful, so they shouldn't be a big test.

Good question to be fair. You're right that you could say the same about England too, however I feel Italy are still that step above in all those areas.

Unbeaten in twenty-eight under Mancini, a very good goal to game ratio (I've been told) and have beaten Switzerland and Belgium in recent games.

It's not to say England aren't playing well, more that Italy are playing better and the team, from what I've seen, look even more united as a group.

Also, I want England to win, so I hope I'm wrong.

Better goalkeeper, centre backs and midfield. And a better manager. England’s forward line is probably superior but that’s about it.

Italy also play much better football and aren’t afraid to actually press the opposition.

It's not Kopite to renounce or refuse to acknowledge England. Football supporters in Liverpool are generally not arsed about a team the rest of the country use as an excuse for legitimising their xenophobia.
