If it's going to be Benitez get it done and dusted. The sooner we can move to pre season the better. Majority of fans seem to be against it but I think it'll be better than last season's football. Be better than Allardyce. Better than NES I think.
Struggle to enjoy anything with him in charge and his tactics are more negative than Carlo. Anyway see you for a bit. Even if he gets results he will always be their "legend" sorry total hiding to nothing here. It's an insult to the fanbase.

If Rafael is so good then why is nobody else even interested not even Palace linked. It's so pathetic so short sighted and short term and will be toxic will naff this
Nobody, literally nobody has shown the slightest bit of interest in him except, for some reason, the one club that should have never considered him in the first place.

At the press conference to unveil him it will be presented as some sort of coup as well. Sickening.

Hes the reason we're down the swanny financially as well. He is plain and simple not very good with his money. His money has never got us higher than 7th we aren't competing. This is yet another destined to fail appointment where we will be back to square one in 12 months time.
Sorry , but lol.
He is the financial leader for one of the richest people in Europe in Usmanov. So he's not very good with money ?.
Sorry mate , imo , that is simply ridiculous.

A positive of Benitez becoming our manager is that he would need to be backed in the transfer window. With half of the fan base against him already surely Moshiri can’t send him into next season with the squad we have now.

part of me has accepted it will be Benitez now. I’m not against it just apprehensive of another season of defensive football. I just want it all resolved now so we can move on. Seems a never ending cycle over the past 5 years.

But why are they not relevant if his other past is?

And in the last 10 years, he is nowhere to be seen.

Couldn't care less about what he said years ago, but I live in Newcastle, and his football was atrocious. And don't even bother banging on about how he wasn't backed, he spent £157m in 6 windows and was still dire. He then left to China and was just as abysmal. His style is awful.
No. He had a net spend of -£11m during his stay at Newcastle. So he took over a crap side and was given no money, and still got them up and left them much better than he joined.

I was interested in Keowns comment about Martinez having a big ego and whether he would have the tactical knowledge to change his approach to break down Finland. Luckily in the end plan A worked. But I do wonder if he has evolved enough to have other weapons to his arsenal or if it is the same old possession based approach that got found out so easily last time.
Hadn't heard that. What did he say?

Goodison is going to be idyllic next season with all the idiots gone.

Can't wait! I don't particularly want Rafael, but like any manager of Everton he'll have my backing until it becomes clear that it's not working out. We'll see what happens in that respect.

But any Evertonian who will essentially self-sabotage the club by withdrawing their support for petty comments made over a decade ago can do one, quite frankly. It's small time, bitter and stupid. We'd have lapped those comments up if our manager had made them. And what's more, he was bang on the money at the time. We played like a small team. He called it out.

Anyway - as I said - I don't really want him. Sooner have Nuno, Potter, Galtier or Favre. But if bringing him in forces some of the mindless bitter idiots who seemingly "support" this club to either stay away or reevaluate their life choices, then I'm all for it.

It’ll be Nuno in the end but this place is like a pants full of wasps at the minute which is strangely compelling

I admire your stubbornness to stick with this train of thought until the bitter end, in the face of every piece of evidence to the contrary.
