The bomb shelter thread.

I think I'll pass, wish you ever success with the venture though.

Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it.

I was converted to chips and Mayo when in Holland and Belgium a long time ago.

I’d never consider else in those countries now tbh.

However they still haven’t quite grasped that you don’t serve Guiness with a big creamy head.

Frites! Was utterly converted after a boozy night at a jazz festival in Gent. Late night vendor serving all sorts of deep dried weirdness, but my local guides set me on the path to bad food choice heaven!

Wasn't knocking the chips with mayo, it's served here in Czech too - hranolky s tatarkou - I just have a nostalgia for pig based snacks that can crack a crowned tooth.

It's been relatively quiet in here for a few days. Gave me the time to upgrade the shelter a bit more. All this popcorning, wummimg and fishing in the E-sector must make a man/woman thirsty.

With that in mind I'm now happy to announce the newly added bar-lounge for opened.

From 9pm-10pm every day it's happy hour. 2 for the price of one, with a vast variety of ales, lagers, spirits, cocktails and bleaches from all over the world to choose from.

You can find the bar opposite to @the sniderman butties shop, next to the latrines. Don't worry about the stench, as that's something we probably have to get used to when we move to the new stadium at BMD.

Welcome ladies and gentlemen, it's time to relax.

Dress code: Casual but no pissy pants allowed.
Oooh how lovely. Vodka and domestos with ice please. In a long glass.

When I was a meat eater, I was particularly fond of the pork scratchings that where sold in real ale pubs, that came in clear plastic bags and still had hairs on them !

My mum had a Booker card or some kind of cash and carry thing, because she rented a room out as a B&B. Every now and then she would bring the wall hanging multi pack back because my stepdad was mad for them.

Hairier the better, as he used to say. Not always about pork scratchings, mind.

They still make those.

I'm not sure how I feel about 'hipster' scratchings on the market. Ghost chilli scratchings are particularly weird. Whilst aiming for edginess they actually appeal to the kind of drunk who would demand a vindaloo in a late night restaurant to look big.
