How did he leave us for Columbia and get told he wasn’t fit enough to play? Why does he always play a reduced amount of games over Christmas?

I wouldn’t be massively worried if he does head off. Too old to begin with, but we love buying players at the end of their tenure and saying “we’ve got a big name”.

Dont really care if he goes or not can be replaced. Is world class on his day but two fast wingers with quality can replqce him in the team

It's possible he leaves now Carlo has gone but he might be well pissed at Carlo himself at this point for all we know. He didn't leave RM because of Carlo(we got him coz of that), he left because he wasn't playing. Maybe, after the Colombia Copa America scenario and a swansong World cup around the corner, he may have a point to prove, and might prove it with us. It is clear he is playing for that Colombia spot now and you don't get match fit without matches. It's wishful thinking I know but still

If he goes that's not the worst thing. It would be far worse if he stayed but never played, either because we bring in a manager that doesn't value him or he is "injured" all the time.

Wouldnt it be nice if he proved all the naysayers wrong, proved that everything he has said hasn't just been empty soundbites?

Wouldnt it be something if he saw our changes and decided he wanted to stick around and be the leader and the hero we all want him to be? A talisman that leads us to glory in spite of Carlo leaving us in the lurch?

Surely we deserve at least 1 positive, 1 bit of luck out of this entire scenario.

I like to think that deep down, he's a good person who loves football and wants to be loved.

That maybe we get a manager who assesses the squad he takes over and in the face of all the upheaval and the obvious overhaul the squad badly needs, realises and appreciates the 1 potential ace he has in the hand he's been dealt, and sells him on the idea of staying.

Same applies for Allan.

We deserve some good news, for once.

But I won't hold my breath

everton and good news don’t go together tho

He's only got a year left on his contract - no way a club who he would actually go to paying that much. They would wait until Jan to pick him up and therefore the club would let him go in the summer else he will just be perma injured until then.

There is a club option to extend his contract for a season.
