Crypto currency (IF banned from CA)

Well, why would you need a bank to fund anarchy? Its self governance and if, happy to, small scale forms of collectivism.

If you undermine govt, the state, and financial systems you are free, no?

Bit like digital fight club. No fights or bombs though.

I feel sorry for the micro people though. They need govt. They can't think without them. What do they do?
dont worry its only a matter of time until the central banks admit defeat and start buying bitcoin,
in fact its probably already started.
within the next 15-20 years bitcoin will replace the us dollar as the worlds reserve currency.

My sense, being no expert on this, is any finance system has loopholes and crims will find a way to funnel money or fund their nefarious activities. Front businesses for laundering being one well known approach. I suspect its not beyond the realms of possibility bitcoin / crypto can be misused. But overstated.
Misused but overstated - much like any other currency then.
So why inordinate amount of media ‘research’ on the topic?

Yes precisely. So the problem is currency. Any currency. Basically if you trade or spend money you are, directly or indirectly, funding atrocities. There is no moral high ground in this world. Money is the root of all evil. If you play the game you fundamentally will go to hell. Only god will judge us.

I don’t view bitcoin as a currency, it’s closer to being a mirror that is held up against fiat.

I have no reason to explain why on a thread dedicated to crypto, you might find someone referring to the community.

You are a troll, and a bad one.
No, I'm not. By saying us, you alluded an attack on the community (the object) over the currency (the subject). I found that an interesting statement.

Would it not have been correct to say?
Another (the 4th?) attempt to take [crypto / specific currency] below 30k USD has failed.

Again I don’t view it as a currency in the traditional sense - of course that view is what the layman (egged on by authorities) will try and use as a way to explain its failures.
I assure you sir I have no links to the authorities.

Well, except MI5. But anyway, long story, nothing stood up in court.

Could you provide a lay friendly explanation of why crypto isn't currency please?

75% linked to child trafficking. I think people have a lot to lose why they get militant. They keep talking about 'we' and 'us'. seen that in here even. Very eerie.

Most cults tend to end up down that path with underaged stuff.

It’s not widely accepted enough - governments will remain directly opposed to it as it stands against them.

none of that will matter of course in determining it’s value which can be demonstrated purely by the true rate of inflation which by some reckoning stands at around 20% p/a. And obviously the continuous and abhorrent exponential increase in money supply

Did Nakamoto not label it as a ‘peer-to-peer electronic cash system’?
And if it fails in that area it will be because government issued currency is maintained by force.

But it will never be crushed, despite best efforts.

I suspect banks probably own a lot of it anyway actually.
