Everton Summer transfers 2021

...our back 3 invariably means a back 5. We have no wing backs, just full backs.

We desperately need attacking threat from wide areas, I’d be amazed if that is not the key transfer requirement. Digne at FB and an attacking, conventional left winger provides real threat on the left. Similar requirement on the right.

We are ok at CB, I can’t see us acquiring unless Mina leaves (Keane won’t leave & if Holgate goes he won’t need replacing). A RB, two wingers and a back-up striker would be my guess at the shopping list.
I see it slightly different
Abs obviously things will change if certain players are moved on, like a CB. I’m not sure we will sign 3 attackers. Maybe one out and out wide player and another who can play wide and central.

I definitely think another quality central midfielder will be added, we’ve seen how poor we are in that position, when we lose Allan & Doucoure. And even last night they both payed, but weren’t really dominant.

There's a huge difference in a player who does well in a team that is a regular eighth place finisher and the top four. Depends on what you want for the future
If thats the case , i suggest we sell 75% of the players as whats it say about the rest of them when keanes been one pf the best all season yet isnt deemed good enough

Holgate is utter gash mate.

No coincidence whenever someone plays next to him they look awful.

Your hatred of Keane is odd - he aint great but he's been fine for near 18 months now.

Holgate is best next to Mina...not at RB and not next to the oaf.

Keane hasnt been "great". He massively hampers the team when he plays

hes's our best cb though so what are the other going to win us? godfey will be a class class player he just needs abit more experience
Personally I’d have Mina over Keane all day.

But the real big issue abs hopefully Carlo will change this, I say hopefully because he very pragmatic, but we ain’t going to lay a glove on the top 4 playing a deep defensive line with 30/40% possession. Last night 41% v wolves is embarrassing IMO.

Ok if Carlo wants to keep this deep line. And make us a counter attacking team, then fine. Go and buy the players that suit that system. IE more pacey, intelligent attackers. A midfielder who can pass and a RB that can add something in the final 3rd

I've a sneaky feeling if they weren't on such cosy contracts that might be the case. Think about how many would be regular staters in any of this season's top four come Sunday.

It really depends on how carlo wants us playing, he says we ain't a possession team yet we certainly haven't got the pace to be a decent counter attacking team. I think we'l still play with a deep defensive line next season as its what he's done since day 1. IMO the midfield is still the problem mainly outwide. keane and co at the back aren't the problem

if holgate played last night instead of keane, we would of probably lost, do you not watch the amount of blocks, headers and tackles he puts in and wins????

I saw an oaf out of position and flailing around with rash tackles.

Mina made some great blocks and was immense...as was Godfrey.
