Anyone who didn't rate Rom was an idiot. Same with those who can't get behind Dom.

Kean is one but that's judging him on the back of one season and like Gueye he hasn't made himself more than a squad player really.
Squad players at PSG are very good players in some cases. Di Maria isn't an automatic pick for example.

I just see a lot of people when something goes wrong blaming the individuals when the while thing is a mess. I look at someone like Andre Gomes who isn't that bad and is made to look like a buffoon all the time. He's clearly a PL level player but we refuse to even attempt to get him in situations that cover up what he isn't good at. That's not totally his fault yet we just pan him over and over instead of the bigger picture.

And yeah that's probably just on here.
There's a long list of players who 'just never got a chance' or were played in the wrong position (Hi Diniyar) that fans insist would have been brilliant if it wasn't for the way they were handled, even though nothing in their careers before or after suggest that's the case. We still have people pining for Deulofeu on an almost daily basis on here, and it's repeated as fact that Moyes ruined the careers of strikers by making them run and not just allowing them to take penalties.

Well we would be a better attacking side with Deulofeu who had some decent years but can't stay fit. Obviously we shouldn't sign him but point is the club does make a lot of bad moves.

His game is ideally not based around athleticism. He can't pass on the right because he can't use his right foot unless he aims it backward. That's the whole issue. He has no left and needs to be in a spot where he's not forced to use it.
I mean if we've spent £28m on a player who can't pass with either foot then we have big concerns mate.

He was much worse on the left, that's the issue.

He wasn't, I don't think he was great but he wasn't much worse for sure, but everyone hated the signing so short of starting his career banging in goals like Lingard did to start at West Ham he was always screwed.

Lots of one footed player succeed too so it doesn't concern me at all. Our best two players are also probably the most one footed in the squad.

James's right foot is better than 95% of the squads corresponding strong foot

Absolutely. ‘Rodwell would have been a world class centre half’ ‘McFadden just needs a run at number 10’.. Anthony Gordon will solve our problems..

Whoever we target and whatever the price may be we need to buy players from teams with an elite winning mentality. We need to assess a players psyche before they come and determine if they fit the project at Everton which is to become one of the big boys. If you look at our past transfers and where those players have come from it becomes real evident why we never win when it matters. The players we buy from the big clubs (Man City, Barca, Real, Juventus, Arsenal etc) have little to no personality (Gomes, Kean, Iwobi, James).

Last summer we bought from Marseille, Napoli, Watford, Norwich City, and Bournemouth. James being the exception.

A winning team requires leaders and experience. We have zero leaders not one in the team.

Players who give it their all and are not complete losers (like 95% of our squad) will do for me. Far too many players are happy to ghost through games and accept defeat.

There was quite a few of us saying that not strengthening adequately in January would come back to bite us.

Not looking to be right but if we can see it why can`t the manager, DoF and everyone behind these decisions at the club? I`m probably a different animal to Moshiri, he certainly has more money, but I`d want to know what I`ve got for my investment. Id be asking some serious and difficult questions of these people and including the players!

It is the other way around imo.
We would get more than 25m each for both Keane and Mina.
We will not get near 50m for Kean.
From who? Keane is good but I fail to see who is paying that and although Mina has skills that might translate to other leagues better he's injured far too often. I can't see it nor would I really want it to happen if it means Godfrey and Holgate more often.

I don't think they will be sold, although it is possible that Mina could, but that would be their value and probably greater in a normal market.

I would be genuinely amazed if anyone paid more than £20m for Mina. We paid a premium based on a good world cup, he's a good player but he has had serious injury issues and hasn't ever managed to establish himself fully in our team in 3 seasons. He's now only got 2 years left on his contract. If anything i'd say we might struggle to offload him, there really aren't that many teams in the world who will pay over £20m and £100k+ a week for centre halves, and not many of the ones who do will have Yerry Mina at the top of their shopping list.

I think he would do really well now in the Spanish or Italian leagues where the football is a little less hectic.
