ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

I really wish we signed Thiago for his 0 goals and 0 assists this season. Plus everyone just runs past him and he gives away multiple fouls a game. Even Klopp preferred a 37 year old Milner to him in their biggest games this season.

What he can do though, is duck under free kicks that are in the bottom corner better than anyone else. A shot that would hit most players mid drift he will find a way to jump underneath.
Don't you know, there's more to footy than just goals and assists? When it comes to idea balls, he's one of the best.

The reality....

“People can disagree with me saying this, but my opinion is that our owners have been good for Liverpool. If you have a problem with me saying that, fair enough and I respect that. But my opinion is built on my own first-hand experiences, from the enormously privileged position of being a player and captain of this football club."

- 'Hendo' programme notes.

Putting a protective arm around a billionaire to save his asset.

THAT is Jordan Henderson. An utter serf and scab.

Not forgetting how he got Apollo13 back safely too.
There are endless Stories about him in The Boys Own Ripping Yarns Vol 1...(2, 3, 4 etc to follow)

Need his face photo shopped on to the opening shot of the early humans in 2001
To be fair that's the most accurate representation of primitive man's facial features currently in existence.

I'm all for laughing at the kopites but Thiago not scoring or assisting so he stinks misses the mark. Be like if they were saying Allan is awful for the same reason.

He's been terrible for them because he's an utter liability without the ball and you can't have that when you're playing guys off the street at CB.

Yeah I’m not one for looking at assists too much but anyone can see he’s just not cutting it with his passing game. It’s safe, side to side nonsense most of the time. He’s nowhere near James or De Bruyne levels of penetrating through balls. He reminds me of Jorginho, neat and tidy in possession keeping things ticking over but will never play the killer ball, also completely useless off the ball.

I still even think this is not exactly what he's being asked to do.

I don't really watch the RS so I'm not totally up to speed on what he is and isn't doing nowadays but what I saw early in the season is largely what I expected but because they aren't winning as much and he was brought in to take them to the next level or whatever he's become the one blamed.

Unfortunately I think fully healthy that side will be pretty good again. Maybe they can run off Klopp first.

If Fabinho sits, and Henderson presses then isn’t Thiago supposed to be supplying the forwards? He’s not doing anything like that at the moment. He played ok in the Goodison derby against us but when you think about that game a half fit James created far more than he did.

He’s always been overhyped, Kopites don’t like to say it but he has never been in the bracket of best midfielders in the world. What’s he done for Spain? What did he ever do in the CL before Bayern won it last season? Nothing that caught the attention for about 10 years, but because he had a decent run with Bayern and then got a move to everyone’s favourite team he was talked up as the best in the world. He’s nowhere near the class of Modric Kroos Verrati De Bruyne Kimmich, he never has been and there’s nothing to suggest he will be.

He was great for Bayern his entire time there I thought.

I think he's been reasonably good supply myself but again I'm not watching them all the time.

It's like the people in our support blaming DCL when we have no passing structure. They have no CBs and Firmino has stopped being of use in attack. Not sure that's on Thiago.

You've sort of answered your own question though. Allan is in the team largely for his off the ball work, so it's acceptable he doesn't contribute. As you say Thiago is a liability without the ball, and contributes very little with it. He's not an aerial threat. He doesn't over lots of ground. It's hard to see what he really does.

Who was it who explained Allan?

Sommet like, "If you watch the game, you wont see Allan, if you watch Allan, you will see the whole game".

edit. In other words, you have to see him live, to get it. (as in, at the ground).

All Hail Captain H - I remember him well commanding our troops as they took Goose Green back way down there in those Falklands in 1982.
Colonel H. I went to see the Cemetery’s there. The Argentine one is quite close and the British one in blue beach. Both taken care of nicely by the locals. It’s a beautiful little place is the Falklands.

I could Swear I saw a monument to Big Virgils knee when I went up Tumbledown
